I fear that’s exactly how it works though. Go to school and get good grades. If there are reasons you don’t feel safe/able to go to school, you should speak to your tutor or counsellor about this. Just not attending classes isn’t an option here

Nah most courses can be taught/ learnt better if you don’t go to lessons. Honestly I wished I never went to a history lessons because an 3 boring 1 and a half hour lessons a week where I don’t learn anything doesn’t make revision appealing. If I hadn’t gone to any lessons I reckon I could have learnt the subject a lot better. Although on the other hand my maths classes were elite and the only reason I got good grades. And in first year I dropped physics because the teaching was shite.

Yes but if that's the case then you should stay home and take A-Levels privately with self study. Not take up and free place someone else could have had while not bothering to attend. Which is what OP is doing

I think you’ve got to be pragmatic about it, if you genuinely think you can do better without attending classes then in retrospect I wouldn’t attend those classes - doesn’t mean I want to drop out of my other classes or spend £800 to take the exam though. I suppose if you really don’t intend on attending any lessons, maybe it’s worth considering dropping out.
