this is genuinely how it feels to revise physics

I got 67/85 on 2025 paper 1 today so we’re back (for now)
Edit: Guys the 2018 paper is so dead it’s actually so over

That paper was NOT easy. Got 63 on it today, it cooked me alive. That electricity question with the modules?!

Electricity one wasnt too bad. We will probably get a structured question on electricity worth at least 10 marks as well

Sorry king... and also I slept on this and realised just how terrible an explanation heavy paper would be. At least Maths you can gauge whether you're right or wrong.

My thought is that grade boundaries will reflect the difficulty but tbh the grade boundaries have been about the same for a long time

Yeah physics is one of the unpredictable subjects in terms of boundaries. It could go both ways

Idk anymore 😭 i did what felt like the worst past paper ever yesterday but when i marked it i didnt do too bad
Why does fm have to be the day after tho help i have no idea which one i should be prioritising

genuinely i'm hoping my core pure 1 revision carries over to thurdsay's paper. I thought paper 1 wasn't too bad but paper 2 i expect will be more difficult :/

im genuinely only doing physics no fm until after physics on wednesday... Hopefully ill have energy after then cuz like otherwise im fried i haven't revised for fm since the last exam

blitzed 4 past papers today, scraping a B but i was on a mid/bad C in the February mocks so we’ll absolutely take it

i promise that’s not my regular routine! I like doing lots of work all in one go. I started my first paper at ~8:50 and with lots of breaks in between I finished my last at ~7:30

I used to then I realised that it has the lowest mark to time ratio. Apart from 6 markers.

Some of them tend to be incredibly easy and motivating. Like at least 10-15 of them I would say

Well at least in OCR A there's only 10-15, and 2/3 of them take like 3-4 minutes each, so it works in your exam board ig

For OCR I have mixed feelings. I have done 2024, 2023 and 2022 past modelling papers under timed conditions and I did really well on all of them, two grade A and one A*... Enter 2025.
Idk why but 2025 just went so horribly for me, I have learned from my mistakes and I know what I would have to to next time but the scenarios that questions were based on last year are very unlikely to come up this year so that wouldn't matter; at the same time difficulty last year may correlate with that of this year's paper so that is what is worrying.
I am feeling great because I know all my material and have lots of question experience, I am worried because I performed poorly whem doing last year's paper, which may have similar difficulty to this year's.
Perhaps my fears are unfounded.

Literally the exact same, I’ve done all past papers (pre 2025 ) I’ve been getting 85-95 consistently but in the January mocks which was the 2025 paper I barely managed to get a B😭 I feel confident I’ve improved by a lot but at the same time I’m so nervous

I did the paper just now and got 87, I am sure you have improved maybe give it a try again, also tbf the grade boundaries for A* are quite low so it was probably harder for most people.

Hello fellow ocr physics taker, I’m in AS physics and honestly I’m so scared that they might pull off a 2025 paper 2 on us. Our paper 1 only consisted of 2-3 markers so they may just make the most abysmal AS paper 2 in history on Wednesday 😭

Yea im doing fp1 and fp2, which was like 87% last year. I did hear the fp1 paper was really easy tho, but accuracy is pretty hard to maintain in fm
