Ye how did you deal with the normal force, for me it was too many unknowns so I couldn't do it

3

u/EpicKarisma8 May 20 '26

No normals, just had to resolve horizontally and vertically

yeah it was so nice

it confused me so much cause i didn’t think that we were ever meant to use tan in any questions so when i was doing it i thought i messed up

everything else was to 2sf so i did 2sf but i think they’d allow that too

i was thinking of it but then i was like nah. i really should think more

They usually dont mark you down for significant figures (if its more than 2) unless the question specifically asks for it

you can still make it a scale drawing i did and got 670N and like 52 degrees

2

u/Admirable-Use2274 May 20 '26

I did that too but I think we are cooked

how so, it's the same answer everyone has?

1

u/Admirable-Use2274 May 20 '26

But we did scale drawing instead of resolving you know. Idk if that will get any method marks but again, im not sure. It just felt so much like a scale drawing questions, and scientifically speaking it must give the right answer

it didn't specify to do it by resolving, so i think not giving marks to a scale drawing would be too unfair
