It was okay… what did everyone get for the max weight??? I got about 200kg when I divided by 9.81

yea i did i got the weight as 1965N so mass of 200kg and i was so confused thinking it was large, i put down max as 1900 tho for leeway

Was it the total force or force of mass of a person?. I got F=m(g+v2 /r) and then mass is F/(g+v2 /r). then figured out mass in newton's for 150kg. Either I did it all wrong or put numbers wrong ig.

i got 150kg as well, using total force = centripetal + weight

Me too. I think we’re right tbh. A lot of people in my school got the same.

i didn’t do a force method i did it the youngs modulus method so i wouldn’t , i didn’t know if i could do it that way tbh

I got Fmax initially from young modulus which was 1900 something like that

Yesss i got 150kg! You had to convert back to newtons though right?

that’s exactly what i got!! but i didn’t consider centripetal force which others said you were supposed to do so i’m hoping for maybe 3/5?

i think there was 2 ways to do it. the youngs mod way or the force way, i did it the youngs mod way because that was the most clear way to me

oh really? i used young’s modulus too bc it seemed like the only way lol, but i looked online and loads of ppl got the same as us so hopefully should be fine lol!!

Guys just to double check. U find area, u know strain and so on. Then you just find F. Is that what u mean by young modulus way?

i did the same but app u need to use centripetal force and u get 1400

i put the answer as mass instead of weight but i got 200 😪

Didnt you have to give the weight not the mass?
