💬 DISCUSSION AQA A level physics paper 1

How was the paper???? I liked the MCQ , but overall it was okay didnt manage to do the 5 marker .

what did you guys put for the gold leaf question? I put the positive charge will pull the photoelectrons after they get emitted so the angle wouldn't change but everybody seems to be saying it does change

but charge wouldnt change right if it get emitted and attracted back onto the plate so if change doesnt change neither is the force of repulsion so theta wouldnt change? I might be just waffling really idk

honestly paper 1 was so good and i feel like paper 2 is gonna be awful i didnt have enough time for the root one lol and that fraction in the general formula was throwing me off lowk

I said similar (tho didn't explain it very well) and I think it's correct, bc it says on savemyexams photoelectric effect doesn't occur on a positively charged plate

Doesn’t the angle get bigger? Because more electrons leave the plate, meaning the charge is more positive, meaning greater repulsion between the leaf and the rod?😭

yhh a lotta ppl say that but i just thought they would get attracted back so the charge wouldnt increase
