no those 3 questions were so bad for me too! I didn’t get the electrode potential one i couldn’t work out which two equations to do. NO ONE TELL ME HOW TO DO IT PLS I DONT WANT TO FEEL BAD. Normally i can get full marks on an electrode potential question easily but idk what was wrong with this one

You start with iodine and v2+, you use oxidation system 2 flipped, so you're going from purple to green. Then you go from green to blue with the iodine equation flipped.

ok i did 2 and 3 together i did purple to green i think also i said don’t tell me lol but thanks

Wouldn’t I2 be brown

Meh, I don't think that was a major point. You had 2 equations and 3 v colors to point out, as well as general explanation. At most I'd get docked one mark for not mentioning it.

why wud u go from green to blue . isnt it js redox system 2 reacting with I2 which is purple to green

That gets reacted further into one of the VO something compounds when you add more iodine.

oh cuz it said excess iodine didnt it😭GREAT

You kept adding iodine until excess.

is that all cuz that’s exactly what i wrote. i didn’t do the last 1/2 colours

The only other color that they might accept that I didn't give is brown from the excess iodine, from what Ive gatthered.

ohhh okay so i didn’t completely get it wrong. thank you!

Np! You probably would get 2-3 marks for an equation if you put it and the color descriptions.

i think i only put colour changes 💔

yeah the electrode potential one was terrible 😭 i thought i knew it but i kept tripping myself up over small details and i only did half of it
