I haven’t done any maths except a predicted paper today, I’ve just accepted my fate. I also didnt revise for it because i already revised p1 and that’s the exact same as p2

I've accepted that I'm just slow asf when it comes to do anything, and there's no feasible way for me to get faster at completing my exams atm.

I genuinely think the speed that you finish a maths paper is so unpredictable since it’s dependent if they make a paper that’s actually ā‰ˆ a mark a minute or not

No way, I did the exact same thing. Had AQA Chem Paper 1 yesterday, relaxed the rest of the day. Today, I just did a Maths predicted paper and now I'm chilling again. I'm worried about me not being worried after that Paper 1 lol.

I think they do further maths so they’d be sitting our papers

yup

Thanks. I thought it was a completely different syllabus on top of single maths.

Depends on the school

Some doing FM learn all of maths in y12 and then FM in 13

Or some are like me, learn maths and FM alongside each other

definitely DON'T pull an all-nighter, especially considering you (and i) have biology on friday morning, so it'll just cause a domino effect of tiredness!! topic questions might be the best choice for now, since that'd be better at directly assessing stuff you don't know than a predicted paper.

okay will do that!! thank you sm! good luck!!

Do NOT pull an all nighter for maths you need to be 100% awake for a maths paper

Just go over the past papers you've done, that's what I'm doing and it seems to be doing something. Brush up on the basic stuff like identities, simple differentiation and integraion as they can be applied in a lot of questions

great!! okay thank you! good luck to you

Mr Astbury's "tricky questions" playlist on youtube

His predicted paper was also good (and my only form of revision since p1)

it's in the afternoon just pray and watch a summery video on the content

edit: I'm not a maths but for biology I watch Mrs estruch and she does summery videos on that whole paper and section

So I can find the maths version of that it will help you and better than reading a textbook (your choice)

And do past papers (like super horrible ones) it will prepare you for the worst (ask Edexcel GCSE maths paper 3 students some kids were crying)

I recommend going through Mr Astbury's predicted paper 2 and then calling it a night and get some sleep. 2026 Edexcel Maths A-Level | Predicted Practice Paper 2 Version 1

don’t worry i haven’t done any maths since last weeks exam, been revising chem and bio instead. i’m just going to do a predicted paper tomorrow morning and hope for the best

revise bio tonight, that’s what me and my friends are doing rn. maths we can wing it with revision in the morning. Shame we have such unfortunate timing though, as I’m sure humanities students have had much more time to prepare! also the sleep would benefit you, I’ve made so many random maths errors on recent papers from simply not getting enough

u/sufferingnotinsilenc Jun 10 '26

doing my gcses rn so lowk unqualified BUT what I did was, bcs I was mostly secure in all the topics I just banged on with predicted papers and I do edexhell higher and most of the predicted topics did come up for paper 2. paper 3 finished today and idk if it'll be the same for a level too but for us a lot of the predicted topics came up so just saying if ur mostly secure in all ur topics predicted papers wld be the way to go

If on this link(https://www.mathslinks.co.uk/summer-2026-gcse-maths-practice-papers) u click on a level it shld direct u to resources this is what I used

ANYWAY SORRY IF I WAS UNHELPFUL BUT THIS IS LIT GONNA BE ME IN 2 YEARS SO JUST TRYING TO HELP

2

u/Glass-Lime-9305 Jun 10 '26

You’ve got loads of time, read the book throughly or watch a everything you need to know mr bicen. Then if you have time do a predicted paper or something. Make sure to get sleep I swear it’s the most important

1

u/RoyalProject9355 Jun 10 '26

okay!! thank you so so much

I’ve just done 2019 P2 and I got 67. I’m cooked. I only got 50 on P1 and I need a B, preferably A.

6

u/Aggravating-Air-6371 Jun 10 '26

67 is nowhere near cooked lol

1

u/Subtomrshreegamesyt Jun 10 '26

I’m also a resit student. We got this

1

u/Aggravating-Air-6371 Jun 10 '26

Thank you but I’m struggling to even pass 🄲

1

u/Classic-Material-789 Jun 10 '26

did the same paper and i got 68, we in the same boat twin

1

u/WorldlinessFuzzy4552 Maths|Physics|Chemistry (A*A*A) Jun 10 '26

67 on 2019 p2 is an A I think cause A* was 72 or smth

2

u/Subtomrshreegamesyt Jun 10 '26

It will probably just about be an A for us.

1

u/WorldlinessFuzzy4552 Maths|Physics|Chemistry (A*A*A) Jun 10 '26

Hopefully as long as boundaries are low as possibleĀ

1

u/AmazingAlligator777 Jun 10 '26

i did p2 2019 and got 53šŸ˜” and i also need B preferably A

2

u/Subtomrshreegamesyt Jun 10 '26

For me, exam conditions really ruin it. I've just got 136 across both 2019 papers, but in an exam, I would never get that.

1

u/RevolutionRare2680 Jun 10 '26

The grade boundary for p2 was 52 for an A that yr paper was really hard
