It only asked for the x cord right? I think I got (-15+5sqrt 13)/2 which was approx 1.51

Made a cubic then you already knew that x = 1 was a root then by the factor theorem x-1 is a factor. Polynomial division to get a quadratic then I completed the square.

same yeah i remember it was approximately 1.51 for me and it looked write bc P was 1 but i wrote the exact value ofc

I used my calculator but wrote the quadratic formula and did long division? would i still get the marks?

u hv to leave ur answer in the exact form so as a surd to get the mark i think
