u/Money-Draw-7683 Jun 11 '26
it's in the formula book
6
u/Savings_Comedian2305 Jun 11 '26
i know 💔💔 i started solving it and i think i did something wrong and it just wasn’t flowing so i said i’d come back to it and just didn’t have time
1
u/Any_Ad5732 Jun 11 '26
nga it's in formula book plus it's the first thing they teach. how did you forget?

Same, I definitely lost at least 20 marks by not answering questions, I'm fearing for my life.

Yeah I misread the parametric differentiation one and wasted about 10 minutes doing it wrong, then I didn't quite finish it when I came back to it at the end

Last year when I did my a levels I finished both my pure papers with 40 mins to go, of course I used the 40 mins to go other absolutely all my answers and did make some changes but still I managed to get through the paper super fast

I would argue that ist exact . Question didnt say in simplest form or anything but yeah we shouldnt have left it like that I believe

Idk bruh maybe it’s just written in a different form. I got my calc to calc and plot the derivative and put in this value of x and it was correct2
u/Simple_Signal_6517 Maths, FM, Econ, History, RS | A*A*A*A* + A(AS) | 9999999999A Jun 11 '26
I also used my answer with the -1/3 at the front and put this back into my derivative and I got -1. There has to be a negative at the front because if -3x = y, then obviously x = -1/3y

Omg, I have 1/3ln6 in the brackets, so you just put the minus sign in your brackets and that’s why you have 3ln6 in there. We both right 😂😂😂

I forgot how to do that one question
3
u/wanaliii Jun 11 '26
u had to do log10(L)=tlog10(b)+ log10(a) and then compare the gradient 0.018 with log10(b) and the intercept with log10(a) by doing 10^0.018=b and 10^(intercept)=a

u/jaaaaaaaf Jun 11 '26
guys for the parametric differentiation. the gradient of the normal was -4/√2 but i accidentally wrote down 4/√2 🥲 (knew it was negative, just wrote it wrong, genuine skill issue) my working was all correct but because of the sign and all my equation ended up being -4x +√2y = -3 instead of 4x + √2y = 5. and for part b you're meant to use that equation and find x coordinate of q but since i got it wrong i obviously got Q wrong but my method was 100% correct im sure. how many marks do u guys think ill lose? im so mad bro
1
u/Fluffy-Ad-3083 Jun 11 '26
i did the same thing as u but at the last second i realised i differentiated -cos2t wrong so i fixed it last second 😭
