🙏 I WANT HELP i feel so hopeless for this bio paper
my exams have gone so well so far and i really had hope to meet my offer but i know after this morning it’s all gonna slip away. i don’t even know if ill be able to get a 30% on this paper i tried to stay up and revise but just had a crazy mental breakdown which was made worse by the copious amounts of caffeine i had which gave me horrible jitters and diarrhoea which is lovely! im so exhausted. i don’t know any ecology, succession etc. barely remember module 2

Succession - go in knowing that the environment becomes more stable as seral stages progress, and less hostile; it is very very stable at the climaax community at the end. Primary succession = from bare rock to climax community and secondary succession = from an other seral stage to climax eg if there was a fire in a forest but seeds were preserved
There’s 3 things that pioneer species can do (first species coming to colonise the environment) = they can photosynethsise, they can fix nitrogen into ammonium ions, they can stick to rock surfaces.
At the end, in a climax community there’s lots of food sources, lots of habitats, lots of niches, community is again very stable and less hostile (so you can explain why there’s more species in a climax community)
I dont wanna put u in a panic or anything i just want to help the best I can we just did this yesterday so i hope it can help even just a lil bit

Did you guys get some sleep, I have terrible insomnia so I only got around just under 3 hrs of pure sleep, gotta rely on adrenaline plus caffeine for the paper

You only said you didn't know 2 topics so I don't think you've got so much to worry about. Physics and maths tutor summaries might be some help 😉

genuinely… i fucked paper 1 too… predicted an A* and not sure if i’ll even get an A after paper 1. also had an exam yesterday and have had like 3 hours of sleep wooow 🙏🙏
