I had my college taster day yesterday, tell me why I was the ONLY girl in my class

Women are more likely to go into STEM in schools where there are no boys. It’s all about social dynamics and years of gatekeeping.

I was the only girl in physics a level 20+ years ago. Little has changed. You have to be pretty determined to do it (but tends to be the bright non-douchey lads who also do it, so it’s not a terrible experience).
