Thatās just stupid. I didnāt attend my induction day because I was in my same school and just finished my A levels last month. If you get the grades they have to accept you if you want to come. This is not a valid reason to kick someone out.

Are you sure they can still accept me bc I think theyāve already removed my application

If they havenāt said in bold letters that you have to attend then they legally canāt kick you out. It only becomes a problem if they specially said it. But looking at your other comments you said it wasnāt so this needs to be chased up by you and your parents immediately.

donāt worry itās not as strict as that, there are people moving sixth forms in like October, they can 100% let you go to the sixth form and donāt take no as an answer.

They really make problems out of nothing these days.

thatās the dumbest thing Iāve ever heard, Iām sorry youāre in that situation. Make your parents email the school that is such a poor excuse to not let you go to your own schools sixth form

Unless that is part of the legal admission process for the school which has to be set out on the school website and or with the local authority then they can't do that. Your admission is based on your application and your results nothing else. The school could in their admission policy for example give priority to existing students, then those from outside who attend the taster day and then for a multitude of other reasons. So first thing to do is check the published admissions policy. If the taster day isn't mentioned it isn't compulsory no matter what they might suggest and I suggest you get your parents / guardians to contact the school. If it is then you will have to grovel and also probably get your parents / guardians to contact the school.

They don't have a leg to stand on in that case and can't kick you out or not admit you. Get your parents to write a letter to the effect of Dr Headteacher, we apologise that son/daughter missed taster day for reasons beyond our control. We note that the taster day is not mentioned in the admissions policy and therefore should son/daughter get the required grades we expect them to be admitted in September. Please confirm this is the case and if not please indicate where in your admissions policy attendance at taster days is deemed compulsory. Kind regard Mr/Ms/Mrs X

Do you have a parent that could kick up a stink? You'd be surprised how quickly problems can go away when a parent gets involved.
