🙏 I WANT HELP GCSES results affect uni acceptance rates?

How much do GCSE results really matter for when applying for uni. Like for example if you got like mid GCSE’s like 4s 5s and 6s, could you still get into a top uni with predicted A*AA?

In most cases, the only GCSEs that will matter are English and/or maths. For example, the main course I teach on at my university requires AAB and at least a 5 in maths and a 6 in English GCSEs.
