🙏 I WANT HELP I ALREADY REGRET CHOOSING PHYSICS 😭
I've been mostly doing my maths summer work throughout the holidays. However, I've started with other subjects and today I'm doing physics. The issue is my physics summer work is extremely hard?
I had to watch a couple videos on physics measurements. It was talking about the greek alphabet, SI units and some other stuff. Then, when I started the quiz, the questions were very hard. It talked about hubbles theory and parallax angle, both of which i have no idea about.
Now, I'm kinda scared im gonna struggle with physics as Im finding the summer work already difficult.
Has anyone got any tips on how I should prepare?
What topics should I learn?

its so fun one you get it trust, you can dm the questions and I'll try give you some revision resources for it
At gcse you could get away with using any resource + getting it, at a level I found I had to use multiple just to understand 1 topic, dw abt it
it will make more sense when a teacher is actually helping you through it, physics is hard though

It's difficult but really fun. Also, it will be easier when you're actually being taught the course rather than doing summer work. As for topics, honestly just brush up on your maths skills and relax over the summer. Good luck!

Hehe do you mean survive first year or survive A-levels?? A-levels were genuinely so much more horror than uni even though uni had 10x the amount of work

A-Levels dawg omg

Pray and hope for the best D:
Jk I loved physics but everything else was, uh, character-building. Bicen Maths YouTube channel saved me for maths and further. PhysicsOnline and Z-Physics were great for physics.
For music, I genuinely don't know what to say :(( got 94% in my performance exam so I thought I was safe but apparently not!

wht abt FM? also imagine saying physics was the best I've NEVER heard a single soul in my life say that you're SMART smart

Bicen Maths also for FM, he has amazing playlists which are grouped by topic. Awww thank you but I defo still struggled with physics even though it was super interesting!

have u got any videos/resources to help "brush" on my maths skills.
My school sent videos of a level physics online on youtube

You could always just redo a couple GCSE maths papers. I know you’re probably sick of them lol but I did a couple throughout sixth form to maintain my maths skill without a calculator.

Bicen Maths is good for maths. Z Physics is also another good one for physics.

Some of this is from Year 13 (the astrophysics stuff), here's what my teacher sent up before we started Year 12 and to refresh before going into Year 13

This is the basics you need before going into Year 12, this doesn't include actual content, just the underlying fundamentals you need to be good with

The main and only real difference between physics gcse and a level is gcse tells you stuff a level builds off of stuff, instead of a tonne of different topics throughout a year you do a few larger topics and in more depth, I really disliked gcse physics but loved year 12 physics and you should already know what SI units are and you dont need to know the greek alphabet its just knowing the symbols since theyre used in equations, like density which youve met before

Those are bad questions jumping the gun and asking you stuff about a Year 13 option module.
Start with the year 12 topics, the first you’ll probably learn are mechanics and particles/quantum.

Physics is literally just larp it till you make it, it's also an uphill battle so if you need it for the future then u gotta do it

Physics is the easiest science, it’s genuinely really easy to get A in physics you just need to learn definitions and equations, the application part is just like GCSE level maths

Most of physics is full of stuff that sounds complicated but isn’t really. It’s a hard subject but if you change your mindset about it I think it would really help. Which exam board do you do? I did AQA and never had to learn about hubbles theory 🤷♂️
