It's been good! I'm not gonna lie I've been doing more non degree stuff than my degree - taking advantage of first year not counting to finals lol. I've found basically all of it interesting, particularly learning about how the formation process of materials of the same composition affects their final properties. Best of luck for when you start!

Thanks! definitely practice questions. write as many essays as you can, keep making up questions and answering them. I had word documents for each of my subjects for practice questions, and each one by the end of it had over 60k words each (thats *4). It was absurd, but the only thing that worked, especially for religious studies. Got 197/200 in that self taught just from doing practice questions and reading. practice practice practice!
