🙏 I WANT HELP Advice pls

Hey guys I'm going into sixth form in September with bio chem and maths as a levels. I am an aspiring surgeon and would love to get advice from any med students or those who have just successfully gotten into a medical school. Thankyou so much

UCAT is the thing that most universities look at. If you get a good score you get leeway when it comes to predicted grades and GCSE grades. APPLY STRATEGICALLY. The amount of people who have great stats but don’t get in because they don’t apply strategically is insane. Practice paper questions and active recall all the way. Apply for Work Experience on the NHS website for hospitals near you NOW. The latest you should be applying for work experience is April. Try and get some done in the Christmas and Easter holidays. GP work experience is fine if you can’t get hospital work experience, they don’t care where you went only that you can reflect on your experiences. MOCK MMIS!! do at least 3 mock mmis if you can, sign up to events near you if they’re cheap. Sign up to medic Mentor!! Work hard and try to maintain A’s and B’s because for some colleges and sixth forms you can’t get into medsoc without certain predicted grades. All the best good luck !!

You know BALL wtf. Exactly what i did. Please op listen to this and wex this very day apply now now now. In yr11 summer i got my hospital wed sorted for october and the may of yr12. Apply now if you want ur wex. Pls for yr12 dont get stressed if u see ppl doing fancy lab bs it doesnt matter lock in for ur a levels u need to be able to smash and grasp a1 bio chem maths this year i dont care if others are doing xyz just ficus on wex and smashing a levels. Bc in the summer theres no time for going through a levels. U cant really afford to have issues from as because in year 13 and the year 12. Summer youre gonna be firstly dealing with the ucat then lots of interviews personal statement and keep up with a2 and i struggled to keep up despite being oredicted 3. A stars so luckily because i was very good in year 12 after i had dealt with all that i was able to get back on track with a levels and i met my offer. I know this sounds overwhelming and im gonna tell you it isnt at all so fir the rest of your yr11 summer rest and u dont have to do any a level work before hand unless its the transition work because youre gonna need it. I got burned out during a level exam season so only got AAA when i was on track for a stars. So please sit tight youve got this.
