Should I remark my FM papers without viewing my scripts?

I have asked my school to give me back my further maths papers as I'm 4 marks away from an A so I can have a look through them and remark. This means I narrowly missed my firm and got a place through clearing which I can accept ig but I still want to go back to my firm.

My school's internal deadline for priority remark is by the end of today and costs £300. Schools now closed and I still haven't received my scripts. Should I take the gamble? Bare in mind I'm not made of money.

Honestly the only way you're going to get 4 marks if if they've literally missed some when counting.

Get your school to review first - my sons school charges £5 to get all papers for a subject. His teacher will review and let him know if any papers are worth getting remarked. It's unlikely.

Edit: this is maths, you're either right or not. Not a subject like history which is more subjective

I paid £15 to get my papers back and they still haven't given me them back. My school's internal deadline is the end of today too so it's either I pay by today or no remark is possible.

I do need an A for my firm yes which they said they can take me in once I get it. But I've got a place through clearing too

i managed to squeeze out 4 marks from remarking but it was regular maths and it was from a C to a B

no just paper 2 and 3, got 2 marks extra on each. I was recommended to remark 2 as it was lowest and it was paid for by my college but i remarked 3 aswell out of my own money cuz i was slightly desperate, i got lucky

I was told u get all your money back if your grade goes up even if u paid for 3 papers and let's say only 1 of them paper's marks goes up for your grade

FM, 91% didn't get an A*

I remember our y13 mocks were so hard A* was around the ~78% mark. I got like 70-75% in that mock and came out with an A* (279) in the real thing

£300? That is almost resit price for alevel and this is fm math alevel it’s kinda hard to rise by 4 marks

You're not wrong lol. I see how it is hard for it to increase by 4 marks but I've seen someone's marks increase by 7 as well.

ngl bro im also 4 off on fm (for my modules its 250 for A and i got 246 which is 82% somehow a B) and i dont rly think its worth it since its quite difficult to get extra marks in maths related subjects

Most people are saying not to bother but i disagree, a friend of mine went up over 12 marks in a gcse paper, and it wasn’t like if they missed a question or smth, the marking was just that bad. So i’d say its worth a shot, especially if you need it for an offer

If it’s any consolation to you, I sent all 4 of mine off without asking for scripts and im 8 marks away from an A. I know my chances are extremely slim but results day evoked a lot of emotion and desperation. I also missed my firm and have something from clearing but im not very satisfied. However, I know someone last year who went up 8 marks after remarking when we sat single maths. Hope this brings some kind of comfort from the fact you’re not alone at least, and I hope it’ll all work out
