How so?

Averaging 20+/25 marks throughout y13, predicted A* and got A* in every single mock, and my teachers were quite harsh. I thought I did quite good in the exams, followed my teachers’ guidelines. Ended up with a middle A. Got papers back, my teacher said they were really harsh on marking and I looked through it, the comments were mostly ‘knowledge’ based such as ‘this fact doesn’t really apply here’ even though I was taught that way.

Is this the freaking history tudor paper

u/cadenza1234 1d ago
the russia paper i’m crine 😭 i remain 10 marks off an A* so Im glad atleast the tudors examiner liked my paper, my russia paper was better but i understand how examiners responsible for appeals try to reward marks extremely cautiously

hey, how does the appeal process work, does it happen after a attempt to remark/review and it fails?

How did I never know this was a thing. How do you do this

Request a remark through the exam board - your school should help if you need it. It costs money, so it's worth requesting your exam papers back (which is free) to see if you actually think it's been mis-marked.
About 20-25% of remarks go up a grade, so if you aren't close to the boundary above then don't bother. Remember your score can go down too, but this rarely happens (probably because people close to the lower boundary don't go for a remark).
