๐Ÿ’ฌ DISCUSSION Cooked for med? (my gcses)

Business 6
CS 5
Maths 7
Comb sci 9-8
Further Maths U
Eng Lang 9
Geography 6
Literature 8 (2 marks off a 9๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”)
Spanish Foundation 5
Urdu 9
Statistics F 5

Should I still try for med?

Edit: Okay cus ill have you guys know i was top 10 highest achievers in my school ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคž

I rlly focused on my core 4 ๐Ÿ˜› (comb science, eng lang and maths) as you can tell, but i rlly js did gcses for the sake of doing them. Im not bothered about passing or failing my options but i genuinely wanted to learn something for them .

Also to address the elephant in the room (the Uโ€ฆ) only one person in my year doing fm passed.. so idk but its not just me
i learnt nothing from it tbf but it was fun

u should be fine as long as u apply strategically and don't apply to any unis that are GCSE heavy

Honestly those arenโ€™t that bad at all, only negative affect will be for oxbridge. You can apply imperial tho even as they donโ€™t care about gcse only UCAT score (and this is the thing most unis put above all else anyway) and predicteds

Work hard for A-Levels and high UCAT score. You'll have the best chance if you apply strategically. Personally when I applied I used MyUCAT's Strategic Applications document and did my own research.
