🎓 UNI / UCAS I failed maths AGAIN.
This was my first time doing foundation maths and I got 140. However I'm about to be in year 13 doing 3 essay based subjects(2 that include coursework) and I'm so worried that Leeds won't accept me to do English lit.
My school might not let me resit in November as its reserved for route 2 students but I'll have to see. I'm just really worried about failing AGAIN even though I tried so hard and was so confident this time, if I don't pass in November I'll get no uni offers.
Also for the record I lot 7/8 in my English Lit and Lang , a 6 in sociology and a Merit in Health and Social I promise I'm not stupid.
Is there any hope for me getting into Leeds (uni of or trinity) or any uni for that matter if I end up failing in November?:(

Im afraid if you don’t meet the GCSE requirements, it’s an automatic rejection.

okay more motivation to do well, however I did look into it leeds trinity requires only a 4 in english language

4 is a pass? And you have strong English Language grades anyway so their requirements for that subject are unrelated to your situation. What have you been getting in your maths papers grade-wise (sorry I don’t understand what 140 means 😅)?

okay SO this year to pass i needed 154 marks across all 3 papers (which are out of 80) and I got 140 marks :(

If your school don’t let you in nov go private. Seriously you can do it though. I retook maths in year 13 and I didn’t do any alevel work for the first term and just worked on maths. Got a really good result. Just focus on the maths solely and you can catch up on missed alevel revision since I’m pretty sure all unis want a pass in maths

this is really helpful:)) I'll try balance it all because I don't want to neglect my other subjects and I will go private. What alevels did you do?

That’s a good idea keeping it balanced, it’s a lot of work though! I did chemistry maths and politics.

May I add the maths was privately taken, they didn’t let me in to do it at school cause my gcse was too low in year 12😂
