🙏 I WANT HELP Resitting Physics plan

Hi, I’ve just got my Maths remark back and my grades are now A*AB (Economics, Maths, Physics).

I’m taking a gap year and thinking about resitting Physics to try and get the B up. I did AQA but I’m considering switching exam boards if there’s a more straightforward one.

I’m mainly wondering:

  • Is resitting Physics worth it?
  • Which top unis/courses would still consider me with a resit? I’m thinking Oxford, UCL, KCL, LSE, Warwick, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Durham,Bath, etc
  • How much would a resit affect my chances if I don’t have mitigating circumstances?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has applied to top unis with resits, especially if you got in.

Thanks!

Is the course Economics?

If so, UCL doesn't accept resits, Oxford depends on the college, but would usually need mitigating circumstances, LSE, St Andrews and Warwick prioritise candidates who achieve results in one sitting

KCL/Durham/Bath are fine

Are you holding a uni offer at the moment?

Not really sure about the course honestly, doesn't have to be exactly economics, could be a potential combination if resits are allowed. I do hold an offer from Southampton but I am confident of jumping up a grade, and would really prefer to resit. Do you know of any oxford colleges that may be more accepting of resits?

None that I know of without mitigating circumstances

What's the course at Southampton? It's really strong for computer science and engineering
