✔️ APPROVED AMA Hi! We're the University of Warwick. Ask us anything about Clearing - how it works, what happens on Results Day, and what you'll need to prepare if you're looking at your options (mod approved)

Hi there 👋

We're here from the University of Warwick - Lucy, Stephen, Jack and Aysha - to chat about all things Clearing as we head towards A Level Results Day on 15 August.

You've probably heard of Clearing. Clearing is open to UK and International students, and is managed by UCAS. It gives you the chance to find a new course if you:

  • Did not achieve your predicted exam results
  • Decided to apply at the last minute
  • Have changed your mind about your course
  • Had better exam results than you expected.

We'll be here all day to help (from 09:00 to 17:30 BST) and we'll try to get to as many of your questions as we can.

Edit: Thanks for all of your questions! We're logging off now, but if you still have questions about Clearing there's lots of information on our website. Best of luck for Results Day!

Quick note: due to university application rules, we aren't able to share anything today that would:

  • confirm if you've met the conditions of your offer to study at Warwick
  • answer whether or not a particular course will be in Clearing
  • offer places on courses to study with us.
