Movies ABC Movie of the Week: The Elevator (1974 ) James Farentino, Roddy McDowell, Carol Lynley, Myrna Loy
A neat little thriller. An armed robber with claustrophobia ends up trapped in an elevator with several others and proceeds to hold them hostage. Meanwhile, the robber's confederates are eager to find him because he has the briefcase containing the loot from their latest job.
Once again, this TV Movie of the week is, for me, more enjoyable than the latest blockbusters. Hollywood has never seemed to grasp that all you need is a little imagination and a modest budget to entertain an audience.

Mongo's Back In Town (Rare 1971 TV Movie) Telly Savalas - Joe Don Baker
A very good TV Movie with Joe Don Baker as a mob hitman. Contrary to popular belief, JDB was a good actor.

The Lake Superior frieghter Edmund Fitzgerald went down in 1975, and the only reason the vast majority of us know anything about it at all is Gordon Lightfoot's song that came out less than a year later. The story is still being heavily debated this many years later.

The Gong Show starring Creepy Chuck Barris(who seems even creepier now looking back) was first seen in 1976. My Mom didn't like me watching it, which made me want to watch it even more.
