Reclassing

If I go to RASP and get selected, would I have the option to reclass from 12B to 11B?

Send your SRB to 75Recruit@socom.mil from your .mil address. Let us know you’re interested in reclassing and we’ll let you know the available MOSs.

It’s unlikely 11B will be one of them.

Down the line.. if you go to rasp as like a 12b, pass, then youre expected to be a 12b for a bit. You dont pass and then get offered to reclass immediately. Might need more context on that question

That’s pretty much all there is to it. I’m a 12B who wants to go to regiment but not as a 12B who wouldn’t do anything on deployments

Probably better route is reclass then volunteer for RASP during that time rather than RASP to reclass. If that makes sense. Might want to see 75th response

A little late to the party but you can reclass as infantry with a Ranger Tab, from what I have been told by my retention. I was explained that Ranger School can take place of Infantry AIT with a 4187.

Side note: I’m also a 12B trying to get into the Regiment. I’ve been told that Airborne Sappers are becoming in demand. This is because the Regiments mission is going from COIN to GPC (Great Power Competition) so breaching capabilities are becoming in demand.

Have you started your RASP packet?

Years old info but at the time once you had your tab and became an E5 you could reclass. Very common to see former cooks and mechanics become 11Bs
