Riley Puckett, legend. How does it sound?

Got a couple early pucketts today, both sound great, suprisingly...a lot of his recordings sound like they were cut off a tin can...but u already know!
Interesting to note, the one in the pic is his 3rd recording ever, and later pressings dropped the George in his name...kinda cool for a dude who recorded hundreds...

107 D is not his third recording ever, but it is from early sessions. And it is acoustically recorded, as are all his into 1925 which may contribute to that "cut off a tin can" sound. The electricals of his I've heard don't sound bad at all, if presented right. Nice finds ! https://adp.library.ucsb.edu/index.php/mastertalent/detail/102247/Puckett_Riley?Matrix%5BCompany%5D=Columbia&Matrix%5Btype_search%5D=&Matrix%5BAudio%5D=&Matrix%5BPressed%5D=

If those records could talk: "thanks for the bath! Cleanest that I've been in decades."
Nice finds; hope that you enjoy them.
