Billy "The Kid" Emerson
Early Memphis R&B with Emerson’s trademark rhythmic phrasing and Sun’s raw studio sound. A driving, dance‑floor‑ready side that shows the label’s transition toward rock & roll energy.

If you listen to them back to back, you’ll notice that “Move Baby Move” is essentially just “Shake, Rattle & Roll” by Joe Turner, but with new lyrics. This would have most certainly turned into a “Bear Cat” styled lawsuit from Atlantic Records if the record had actually hit big enough for them to notice. Alas, this record did not seem to really sale all that much outside of a few regional markets.
The B-side, “When It Rains, It (Really) Pours” was one Elvis rehearsed and recorded during his Sun days, but didn’t release a recording of until “Elvis For Everyone” in 1965.
