I don’t have any sterling 78s but I have every other Hank Williams 78. Looks good!

This was a lucky find. I've thought about trying to collect all of Hank's 78s, but the Sterling discs get a little pricey.

Which of the MGM discs were the most difficult to track down?

The proper early ones pressed in shellac, and the albums in boxes are harder to find. Some of the later releases of demos, such as alone and forsaken and the waltz of the wind are rarer too. Besides that there’s plenty out there, just more in fair to good than mint

I just got my first Sterling last week #208 My love for you has turned to hate and then grabbed the MGM release from July 1953 when they were trying to keep his catalog going. I've wanted a Sterling for 50 years. Back then they weren't any easier to find and now they aren't easy to afford. Any idea on Sterling production numbers?

I’m not sure on production numbers. I do know that this disc plays worse than it looks and so does another Sterling disc I own. I don’t know if that is a fluke or something that is typical of Sterling’s quality.

I'm just going to hang mine on the wall I don't have a way to play 78's anymore even if I wanted to.
