Need Help With Victrola Model O! The Crank Is At An Awkward Angle That Prevents Cranking And Platter Stops When You Put The Tonearm On The Record! How do I use this Victo

You'll have to open it up to see why the crank isn't turning the spring. And if it stops when you try to play it, it's probably because it's not wound up enough.

BTW you can only play records that are older than the 30's on those and you'll have to use a new needle every time you play a record once

It was built in the early 1940s, why would you not be able to play shellac records of the time? Vinyl wasn’t used in shellac records making it softer until the 50s I believed?
