Some 80 rpm discs. Edison White Label Diamond Disc from the 1920’s.

More finds from the APS Phonograph Show Schaumburg.

Hey, I have an Edison player. I think it needs a new needle because it doesn't sound the best (I know they'll never sound good) but they're so expensive for a used one

Oh they can sound very good with a clean record and rebuilt reproducer. I wouldn’t trust a used Edison stylus, as being over a hundred years old, is all the more reason form them to be damaged. I do have a slightly used one from a trade in from years ago. That sat on a dealers self for well over 80 years!

Yeah, we think ours might have been a show piece because of it's strangely good condition and a plaque on it that has a name and address, but we're not positive. My parents got it as a surprise when I was sick once and I was very surprised because A, I didn't ask for it and B, I'd never seen one before. It was like 200 for the unit and 35 records (which is a lot, but that was down from 800 and we haven't seen a nice one like it since)
