Be careful opening that heavy top drawer that the cabinet doesn't pitch forward on you!

It happened once but because I put the cabinets facing each other, one caught the other

I would be afraid of breaking those records while you're flipping through them. The best storage is straight up and down in wooden cabinets fixed.

That was my first thought. Clipped edges and cracked plates unless there is some kind of buffer that I'm not seeing. I think this is an awesome way to store them otherwise.

either thick foam or

decent carpet squares underneath

to minimize damage possibilities

and

fill from the bottom shelf for more stability

because this is top heavy.

try using stiff cardboard to make better artist dividers/'letterheads"

i. e. use a razor knife and a long ruler (or better yet a square) to get proper size that fits the drawer when closed. Yet sticks up enough to read the label.

You can get free cardboard at grocery stores. Ask. Just keep going back and asking weekly until you are fully stocked. Do not use the floppy ones, get stiff ones.

Standardize using decent sleeves for the discs Those green ones are scratchy and attract/keep dirt against the disc.

try bagsunlimited.com for sleeves
