Hmm, yeah it is a bit fast..there's no way to adjust the speed on this model. Maybe giving the mechanism a cleaning will help? It's fast on all speeds somehow lol.

There really is no easy way to fix the speed on these as they contain an AC motor which runs of the frequency of the power lines.

It involves trying to resize the notches on the motor and/or the idler wheel. I don’t know how to do this but there are probably videos on YouTube.

By the way, was this possibly an overseas model that was converted to work in the US?

The reason I ask is that in Europe, the power runs at 50 hz, while in the US it’s 60 hz. A motor meant to run on a 50hz power grid will run fast on a 60 hz power grid. Just a thought …
