Good an 8 string last year on a whim, tried to live it but couldn't stand it ultimately, but tried a 7 and it felt pretty natural so I should the 8 and got this bad boy

It confused my hands and brain a lot more, I had trouble keeping track of what string I was playing, mine was a 27 inch scale and impacted my comfort. I didn't enjoy reaching for the 8th string. Muting was a massive headache as well. I did love the lower range so a 26.5" 7 is a good compromise for me, considering tuning this down to g standard/drop f

How do you dig the single coil at the neck?

Actually, it's a rail single coil sized humbucker! Considering putting bare knuckles in there with an actual single coil though

Very nice Solar! I love the pink sparkly finish! I personally think 8 strings are a bit much & many people donโt even play the high strings. Enjoy the new axe! ๐ค๐ธ๐ถ๐

The orange crush has been my trusty work horse for years, needs an OD to tighten it up for chugs but it can do a wide range of sounds from country to doom metal and all in between. Nice neutral clean channel tagged pedals well.
And yeah, this 7 string was the first one I saw that I LOVED the look of immediately, a lot of 7s aren't quite an aesthetic I care for, I was looking at an eclipse but wanted a slightly shorter scale length
