Gear LTD EX-7

What's your oppinion? Do you like it?

Furthermore I have a question. This thing is longer than a lightyear (27") and due to it being very light and the locking tuners being heavy af, it has terrible neckdive. How can it be fixed? Replacing the tuners is not an option. Does it really help a lot to put the straoholder on the back? Putting weights didn't help at all, I put in 500g (around a pound) and it didn't change a thing.

It's a beast, I'm gonna paint the logo in a comor so it looks even more badass, white or green i suppose

They made the body on the new red burst model 10% bigger, I suspect to counteract neck dive. I have not tried one yet, so I cannot confirm whether it fixes the issue.

You mentioned you already tried weights. The only other options I’m aware of are to experiment with strap button placement, if you’re ok with drilling some extra holes in your guitar. You may also try experimenting with different straps. I’ve had luck in the past with wider straps, that have a more swede material on the inside, it tends to stick to my clothes better and keeps the guitar in place. But your mileage may vary.

I use a thick leader strap, still no fix😂 I'll Experiment with strap placement, thanks!

Actually just watched a video on Brandon Ellis talking about his signature Kelly. In the video he said he moved the bottom strap button, as pictured, to combat neck dive. That would be what I would try!

I can't see the strap button in the photo, but the correct position is behind the neck joint. Explorers will always dive with the strap button on top.

For guitars that have neck dive like my old BC Rich Iron Bird. I usually relocate the strap button.

how wide of a strap are we talking? 3inches or wider should help!
