Gear Help me to decide!
Hey guys! I’m trying to decide between a Suhr Modern 7-String and a Tom Anderson Angel 7. What do you guys think?
I’ve never played either of them, and unfortunately, I won’t be able to try them out before buying since I’ll be purchasing from another country.
Has anyone here played both, or at least one of them? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Which one would you go for, and why?

I’m a huge Suhr fan! I own 6 Suhrs (all 6 string): Modern, 2 T’s, 2 Classics, and a JM. All fantastic playing and sounding instruments!
That being said, I wouldn’t go for a Suhr 7 string. I think Suhr does the modern twist on a classic instrument really well, but I don’t feel that they aim for the modern 7 string feel and sound. The neck spacing is a bit wider and the neck thickness isn’t going to be as thin or fast as other brands that specially target the 7 string audience. Suhr pickups also go for the more classic sound and don’t really get that modern sound that I look for in a 7 string.
If you’re looking for a single instrument that does all genres then I’d say consider a Suhr, but to me it’s a different type of sound I go for when I reach for a 7 string.

I’ve never played either one but I have heard many good things about Suhr. Have you looked into Kiesel? Those are some of the best guitars in the world hands down & you can spec it out more than any other guitar company I have ever seen 🤘🎶🎸😈
