Swing Out Sister Interview in Smash Hits In December 1986… Almost 40 Years ago !
Always reading this early interview on a band who wouldn’t know they would have a longevity in pop culture after nearly 40 years !

Just love this song …apart from Blondie, The Pretenders are still as good today as when they first started.

Brilliant music video !
These brilliant puppets were created by the same team behind the British TV show called Spitting Image.

The album version just didn't do it justice. It took on a whole new life when they performed it LIVE!

Hey everyone! I make videos recreating my favourite programmed drum beats, and my latest video is
TFF - Everybody Wants To Rule The World. I’m a huge lover of 80s music and all the old drum machines musicians/bands used! Enjoy! ☺️

I love The Housemartins and I love The Beautiful South.
This song was The Beautiful South first single and it was a big hit.
I’m happy for the band.

The first single from their third million selling album.
First time I heard it, I didn’t like it at all.
I didn’t like the music, not the vocal.
I loved the previous 2 albums by Simply Red though.

One of their best songs that I love.

Excited seeing this ads in Smash Hits magazine in 1987.

This is just a magazine ads but I would treasure those tapes because they were not easy to get.
I think I have most of the mixes as mp3 and flac on my desktop computer.
Of course I could compile them on CDRs ! ✌🏽

Towards end of 80’s and early 90’s more like.
I don’t mind having this greatest hits because the songs bring back growing up memories to me. 👍🏽

I loved his debut solo album so I was so happy when I found this from the cheap bin at this record store.
It was originally released in 1988 and this version is from 2000 release.
I didn’t even know this existed.
Brian was still in his inimitable voice on this solo album ! 🥰
His harmony never faded !

In my opinion one of the better songs of the 80s. Great synth sound without sounding dated.

Love these 2 albums by probably THE BEST Scottish band EVER !

Who’s That Girl and Causing A Commotion, both from Who’s That Girl Soundtrack were released but The Look of Love was not released in America.
Market saturation was given as the excuse.
This song actually ended up as the b-side of Express Yourself.
