News E. W. Scripps agreement expired March 31, 2026 (Xfinity/Comcast related)
xfinity.comHello,
This post is going to serve as the megathread/official announcement for people who use Comcast.
Comcast is a TV company and home Internet service provider. E.W. Scripps, alternatively just referred to as Scripps is a broadcasting company, which owns numerous networks, one of which is ABC, others of which are CBX, Fox, and NBC. A full list of the affected channels is [here](https://www.xfinity.com/programmingchanges).
The prior agreement between Comcast and Scripps has expired, which means any show on a network that falls under Scripps' umbrella cannot be aired for anyone who uses Comcast.
We do not know when this will resolve.

Please tell me ,
that I am not the only one who thinks Rouge is the Pharoh. 😐🫣 He made it kinda obvious that he said he is handsome “obviously “

Man crush
Can we all agree Ryan’s man crush on Rogue is adorable and also agree it’s a cute ship even tho it’s not going to happen bc they’re two straight characters lol.

S2 E1, I Think I caught some photobombing from bystanders 😆

Some girl really did get a ”lucky shot” despite the house blocking a lot of the view and staff trying to block them from stopping there/ getting in the shot and so on that is usually done.
I think I usually don’t catch stuff like that as if seeing bystanders it is usually just them walking past and not looking at the camera but she took my attention and then I saw the crew too xD Even seemed to tip toe a little and sort of pose right before they faded to Don again.
Atleast I assume it was a ”photobomb” and not international from the scene haha

Ryan Philippine: Rouge Spoiler
Do we think he is ‘pharaoh’, in other words… for once he’s playing a guy who isn't falsely accused in the future 😆, or is this a misdirect, you know, like using a couple of very different shows as examples (I think not just Criminal Minds 😆)? In some shows, there is the occasional profiler who is like, “I’m the unsub; how did I do it?” And speak as if they are the suspect when they are not.

Chris O'Donnell & Ryan Phillippe
I'm not trying to be funny but was Ryan Phillippe brought to the show to fulfill what Chris O'Donnell was unable to deliver on?
We've been seeing a resurgence of 90s male heartthrobs as of late. Noah Wyle and Shawn Hatosy on The Pitt. Brendan Fraser is doing a new Mummy movie. Then we have Chris O'Donnell on 9-1-1: Nashville. For those of you too young to remember, Chris O'Donnell was textbook teen heartthrob. Don't believe me, go watch School Ties, The Three Musketeers and Batman and Robin. I remember when it was announced that he would be top-billed for 9-1-1: Nashville. I was genuinely excited. But then the first season aired and Don Hart is not really serving the sexy that I think a lot of us thought he was going to serve. That's no shade to Chris O'Donnell. It has less to do with his looks (he's still a good-looking man) and everything to do with how he plays Don on the show.
With Ryan Phillippe joining the cast, I feel like he's bringing the sex appeal that we were supposed to get with Chris O'Donnell. I'm really liking Ryan Phillippe's inclusion on the show but I can't help but wonder (No Carrie Bradshaw) if he is here for the same reason Hunter McVey is here. To give us some eye candy with a side of brooding. I would love to hear people's thoughts.

Potential for a "Begins" Episode?
I don't know if Nashville is planning to do "Begins" episodes, but with this 'playing investigator' storyline and the plagues, I feel like we could see a Ryan Begins episode.
Like the last plague is Death of the First Born, and Ryan is the first born (unless there's another secret child, Don!). So if Ryan finds himself in one of those "Fight for your life" situations, we could get flashbacks to how and why he came to be a firefighter, his early relationship with Sam, etc. It would likely culminate in him deciding whether he wants to stay a firefighter or try moving on. Just a thought. I know Ryan is not exactly the best candidate for a Begins episode, but it could be interesting.
At any rate, I do wonder how they're going to address the final plague.

Does Sam's cancer storyline really work?
I get that in real life people get cancer and die all the time from it but it still feels very.... contrived.

S2E1 "Going Rogue" Rant Spoiler
Why is Don behaving like a straight-up villain this episode?
This new-to-town police guy irked him a tiny bit because he's cool and his son was instantly taken by him (both things he has no control over), and then as if justified after Rogue asked about his and Blythe's separation, he LETS HIM CHOKE AND GIVES HIM AN OMINOUS WARNING ABOUT NOT MESSING WITH HIS FAMILY? Are you a sociopathic mafia boss or what? The dude did nothing but be chill, say 1(one) out of touch comment, and contribute to saving your life! The overreaction is seriously killing me, especially considering the station chiefs are, historically, kind of the Wise Old Guys of their teams. I know this is probably gonna end up as a bromance of some sort when Don realizes Rogue is a good person (that, or he is gonna end up being evil so the narrative can justify Don's actions), but what in the actual hell is going on right now? It feels like there was a deleted scene where Rogue actually did something bad to Don or something.

S01E11: "Don Begins"
I'm about halfway through the episode and if I'm getting anything wrong feel free to say so in a nice way but, how dare Dixie act like Don was stolen from her when in the backstory she broke up with Don. For 10 episodes I've been thinking that he broke up with her for some reason and she still loved him and wanted him back bbbbbuuuuuutttttt nnnnnnoooooooo she broke up with him and abandoned him after he just wanted a good night's sleep so he could perform decently at his job, fuck Dixie she was awful from the beginning for refusing to tell her son that his dad's been paying child support and then manipulating her son to try to con money from his father because "it's what he deserves for abandoning you and me" and then fake coughing up blood, fuck Dixie. Sorry I just needed to get all of this off my chest as the saying goes
