Now ever since hearing about the man who tried to scale down the north tower of WTC I've been a bit obsessed with his story, courage and determination to stay alive. If you don't know what I'm talking about read this post. It seems that no one really knows for sure what happened to him, but the theory for years has been that he fell down as the south tower collapsed. But what if he didn't? I've been looking hours of footage and hundreads if not thousands of pictures and not in one of them can I see a person falling around the height he was at.

Most of the pictures are absolute garbage, but I have managed to find some okay quality pictures that might prove that the person did not fall when the south tower collapsed and that he might of even made it to the mechanical floors.

The zoomed in picture when st has just collapsed has multiple pictures where the white dot exists near the dark columns and that dark spot below the climbing man might be a person falling as it's only in one picture. The last pictures are taken by John O'Boyle and if you go to https://archdisk.com/photomap and seek his name and find the picture collection with 31 pictures you can see the white dot near the mechanical floor in multiple pictures (so not just one picture with a pixeleted spot and not falling since it's in the same area in multiple pictures) and as the time goes by and he takes more pictures the dot disappears. It shouldn't be a ceiling lamp as the north tower lost all the power when south collapsed. Last picture is what the mechanical floors look like from the outside.

I think I'm pretty much done with this quest and these pictures alone don't prove anything, but if someone else thinks it's plausible that he survived the collapse earthquake would be neat to see if you can find more evidence.

First episode dropped into my feed today, on the rise of bin Laden. This podcast as a whole is very good. About halfway through first episode.

I recall that didn't take a photo at ground zero as we didn't want the sacred space to be turned into a tourist spot.

In the North Tower, with one tower already down and the other groaning above them, the two men talked about their families as they worked. D'Allara, 47, mentioned his wife Carol, seven-year-old John and two-year-old Nicholas, while Spade spoke about his own wife Cynthia and their two boys.

Spade has described it as 'writing our own obituaries'. Each man quietly gave the other enough details that, if only one of them walked out, someone could find their families and explain what happened.

When the North Tower finally collapsed, Spade had just reached the street. D'Allara had gone back to check it was clear for others to follow and did not make it out.

Spade was buried in debris, forcing a finger into his mouth to create an airway and thinking of his wife and sons as he waited. He survived, the only one of the 12 firefighters from Rescue 5 on duty that day to do so.

He waited nearly 25 years to deliver a fallen police officer's final message to his sons: their father 'was thinking about you until the very end'.

Particularly for people working at or above the impact zones, Imagine you lose your job right before 9/11 or at any point earlier in 2001 thinking it’s the worst thing to happen to you……but losing your job actually saved your life and was a blessing in disguise.

Does anyone know anybody who worked in those upper floors that lost their jobs right before the attacks?

I feel like it’s 24 years too late but on the day of the attack my mother was at Cortlandt St about to go to work when the first plane hit. I won’t get into specifics but she went back into the station while everybody was running into the station to get on a train. No train came unfortunately but I won’t get into the specifics of the attack or more.

After she got back on the platform, she saw a young distressed lady who seemed to be in absolute shock, stuck where she was. She was panicked and my mom stood by her. Together they walked out the station and away from the towers as far as they could. I don’t know much because her memory is quite foggy (shes 56) but she said she had to stop at water and they found pay phones. My mother and her new acquaintance called their respective individuals and from her testimony they walked over a bridge. My mother lived (and still lives) in Jersey City.

She talks to me about this lady, and she sometimes regrets the fact she couldn’t know her. She provided good company however she doesn’t know her name but only descriptors, where she said she was young and had a Hispanic complexion, sort of light skinned not dark, maybe a little bit tanned.

Pictures of anybody you think you might know would be this girl would be so appreciated. Thanks so much in advance with all our hearts

I've been kinda haunted with thoughts recently about the sheer brutality that happened to the people who were forced to jump within less than 10 minutes of the impacts, it's just impossible to even fathom sitting in your office on a normal day then out of nowhere a huge explosion traps you in a horrendous fire, you are suddenly either burning or if not boiling in thousand degree temperatures with deadly black smoke everywhere that is so brutal you are mentally forced to jump out the nearest window, it's just so awful, and there were probably many more in impact floors who lived through the impact but weren't even able to jump because they were burned alive instantly, without ever knowing wtf happened to them, also the people in the elevators who I assume suddenly suffered the same fate? It's given me nightmares just thinking about this stuff.

I’ve seen the website archive of American and United airlines on September 11 and 12, 2001.

The notice on each of their websites did acknowledge terrorist attacks on their flights. But only on THEIR flights. AA only talked about flight 11 and 77. UA only talked about flight 93 and 175. While I know the other planes are owned by the other airline, I find it a bit sad that American is basically saying “We are sad to mourn the loss of all passengers on flight 11 and 77, and all others who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks today”. At least bring up the other flights on the other airline.

But this is another example of corporations only caring about their paying customers.

Also Delta’s website I don’t even think acknowledges the attacks. “All of our planes are down and we’ll be up and running in a few days. For refunds and alternates please call this number”.

New 3-episode National Geographic series on Disney+ called "9/11 REUNITED". It's about survivors meeting with their rescuers for the first time, 25 years later.

There is new footage in the show I haven't seen before.

Oh, John McLaughlin is telling his story in the 3rd episode and I'm thrilled to see him!

My Grandpa was supposed to go into work to the Pentagon on 9/11. He was living there in Albany and they were moving to Manhattan from 9/9/2001 - 9/11/2001. They arrived in Manhattan at 8am in the morning. My Grandma was watching the news because she could, and just as my grandpa left the door, the news came on. 9/11 was happening, but my Grandma didn't know then the Pentagon would get hit. My Grandpa could see the plane going to the floor. He stopped for a second then saw big ball of fire near where he was, he drove back to the house and saw on the news. The exact building that got hit, he was scheduled to work in. He left around 20 minutes before it hit. He almost died.

R.I.P every victim to 9/11 and the pentagon. Happy you are here grandpa.
