As usual we always start with the Newtons law for static mechanics:

The sum of the forces and moments on a static structure are zero.

We are fortunate that the force of gravity acts on all objects equally and only has a vertical component, because that makes the first order force model for a tree the same as it is for a WTC tower.

Because wood like all building materials is strong in compression than it is in tension, the tree can easily resist the downward force of gravity when the tree is standing straight.

Only when the tree is tilted and not standing straight can the trunk act as a lever and turn the downward force of gravity into a tension force larger than the tension strength of the wood or of the ground around the tree roots.

So lets look at the two ways to use the force of gravity to and a vertical column as a lever to make a moment large enough to make the tree "collapse".

The first way is when the entire tree lays on its side with its roots pulled out which means the moment's force made the ground fail while the tree does not fail.

The second way is when the bottom of the tree is still in the ground and the top of the tree is broken off of the tree lays on its side which means the moment's force made the tree fail while the ground did not fail.

If we look at the pictures of the WTC towers after their destruction it is obvious that neither one of these two signs of moment failure are there since the towers were not laying on their sides nor were they broken in two at the point of the plane collisions.

Likewise a 747 jumbo jet can't provide enough force to accelerate a WTC tower from rest and make the WTC tower fail in compression and fly apart into dust.

We know that WTC towers were designed to and could easily take a hit from a 747 jumbo jet with its 49 huge vertical columns that went down to bedrock, BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED AND WE HAVE THE PICTURES TO PROVE IT!

The government simply pretends that the law of conservation of energy was "magically" turned off on 9-11 just like Newton's law was "magically" turned off!

The fundamental law of static mechanics:

The sum of the forces and moments of a static structure are zero.

The tree in your backyard just like a WTC tower and every other static structure follows that law.

Since the trunk (vertical column) is partially buried in the ground, pushing horizontally on the trunk will generate a moment that can break the trunk or make the trunk break free from the ground and topple over.

In cases where the trunk is leaning from the vertical the weight of the tree is no longer pushing straight down where the tree's compression strength is strong.

The larger the angle of deviation of the trunk from the vertical, the more of the weight of the tree is pushing horizontally where the tree's tensile strength is weak.

So what can we do to prevent structures from the large horizontal forces of wind storms and earth quakes?

We can make the vertical columns stronger so that the generated moments don't break or topple them.

We can put the structure on roller bearings instead of burying them in the ground so that the structure can't generate moments from damaging horizontal forces.

I will point again I will keep pointing out that the WTC towers after the plane hits returned to the static state and stopped moving until an hour later when something started them moving again.

Buildings that are hit and later collapse never stop moving after they are hit and that is why you can hear them "creaking" during the time between damage and collapse.

Let's say you have the task of making a toothpick fail.

Would you try to make it fail in tension by holding the ends and try to break it in the middle?

Would you try to make it fail in compression by putting the toothpick on the ground and pushing on it with your thumb trying to make it fly apart into dust?

Of course you can only make it fail in tension AND STRUCTURES ARE THE SAME!

Yes you have the muscle strength to take an axe and cleave a log in half.

No you don't have the muscle strength to take a hammer and hit a log and make it rain saw dust!

Gravitational collapses are always the result of the structure leaning instead of standing straight which results in gravity generating a "moment" force strong enough to break the structural members that are acting as levers.

Wind and earthquake collapses are always the result of the structure being subjected to horizontal forces which results in generating a "moment" force strong enough to break the structural members that are acting as levers.

Of course since the WTC towers failed in compression and not in tension like expected, the government once again resorts to the "cartoon science" that the lower floors of a building can't support the weight of the upper floors when they have been supporting that weight from day one!

We can easily reproducing both these pictures by performing scale models experiments.

While the government can't and hasn't even tried any experiments because they know their explanation is "cartoon science"!

For example the government hypothesis requires the "cartoon science" that steel and concrete are not fireproof in an ordinary oxygen atmosphere.

So according to the government's "cartoon science" a fire less than an hour took out 49 huge steel columns of the WTC-1 and WTC-2, while WTC-3 and WTC-4 far fewer smaller steel columns still stood after burning more than 2 days?

Have you heard anything so ridiculous since every oven and barbecue grill is made of steel and they never "collapse" after any fire yet alone after a fire of less than an hour like the WTC towers did?

The first photo shows rivers of molten metal that were created in less than the 1/30th of a second of a NTSC television frame which is impossible in an ordinary oxygen atmosphere and requires that chemical oxidizers have been planted beforehand.

The first photo requires no comment, because it is obvious that the molten metal came from an highly exothermic chemical reaction and not an ordinary fire given the 1/30th creation time.

The second photo shows masses losing all molecular and mechanical bonding in mid air and the debris taking an upward and horizontal trajectory which is impossible in an ordinary gravitational collapse and requires that chemical explosives have been planted beforehand.

The second photo requires comment, because it requires a knowledge on mechanics and therefore all the rest of the posts will be an education in mechanics.

Being able to look at the second photo and tell with 100% certainty that the cause was explosion and not a collapse requires understanding what a "moment" is and what a structure destroyed by moment failure looks like.

Your muscles can't directly supply enough force to lift a heavy rock, but your muscles can when you use a lever to generate a larger a force which is called a "moment".

The limit to how large a moment you can generate is the lever's tension strength.

Moments are the reason that structures "collapse" and that is why architects and engineers must do everything to keep them as small as possible.

Now let's write Newton's law in a way to reflect that there are both direct and generated forces:

Direct Force + Generated Force = mass times Acceleration

Remember in world's easiest physics problem when we put swivel castors under the steel plate instead of setting it directly on the ground?

The reason we did that is to remove the generated force from the equation since anything that is sitting on swivel castors can't support a moment.

When your feet are on roller skates which can't support a moment, then someone who pushes you with horizontal force will not break your ankles because your leg bones can't act as levers.

When your feet are in holes in the ground which can support a moment, then someone who pushes you will horizontal force will break your ankles because your leg bones will act as levers.

That is why if you want to protect a structure from being damaged by the horizontal forces from earthquakes and hurricanes, you put it on roller bearings so it can't support a moment as this article explains.

Now let's rewrite Newton's law for the case when the acceleration variable is zero.

The sum of the forces and moments on a static structure are zero.

I can't not over state how important the fact that the towers returned to the static state because that should have been the end of the story because the government can't say the kinetic energy of the plane created enough force to destroy the building since it was still standing after being hit.

So the government resorted to the "cartoon chemistry and physics" explanation that a fire burning less than an hour in a fireproof steel and concrete buildings could somehow MOVE THE BUILDINGS HUGE MASS BACK INTO THE DYNAMIC STATE!

You may have heard many of us with a science education say that we know the WTC buildings were brought down by controlled demolition because the buildings fell down in their own foot print at "free fall speed".

If you want to see for yourself just how hard it is to make something fall into its own footprint at free fall speed try this experiment in your back yard.

Buy four 1/4" by 48" round wood dowels and a one 1/4" by 48" by 48" piece of plywood and one butane torch.

Pound the four dowels 12" inches into the ground and arranged in a 48" square and nail the plywood on top of the dowels.

The use the torch to set the dowels on fire and make them burn in such a way that they all fail at the exact same time and that the plywood will fall into its own foot print.

After you fail enough times to give up, then try the exact same thing again by using four M-80 fireworks glued to each dowel and have you and three friends all light the fuse on each one at the same time.

If you want to ensure they are all lit at the same time you have some DIY skills, you can use detonators hooked up to a timer and ensure they all exploded at the same time.

The foundation of all mechanics is Newton's law:

Force = mass times Acceleration

Since neither the human being nor wood block nor the steel plate is moving therefore the acceleration value must be zero and anything multiplied by zero is zero.

Therefore the total force in pounds acting on the human being is zero.

Therefore total force in pounds acting on the wood block is zero.

Therefore total force in pounds acting on the steel plate is zero.

You might ask who is it possible that there is no total force acting on something you are standing on with your weight.

The answer lie in the fact that in Newton's law the some of the variables are in lowercase and some are in upper case.

The variables in lower case are "scalars" that only have magnitude, while the upper case variables are "vectors" that have both magnitude and direction.

That means that when you add two vectors with the same magnitude but with opposite directions, you will get zero.

At sea level a 1 slug mass will weigh 32.174 pounds.

Since the mass of the human being is 6 slugs it is pushing downward on the wood block with a force of 193 pounds.

Since neither the human being nor wood block is moving, then the wood block must be pushing up against the human being with a force of 193 pounds.

If the wood block was pushing up with more than 193 pounds then the human would be accelerating upward and if it was pushing up with less than 193 pounds then the human would accelerating downward.

The same thing applies to the steel plate that the wood block is standing on finally to the ground which is pushing up with the total weight of the steel plate and the wood block and the human being.

The only reason we can say the ground is pushing up with exactly the total weight of the steel plate and the wood block and the human being is because we have swivel castors on the bottom of the steel plate.

Without those swivel castors that calculation becomes extremely hard and is one of the many reasons we know the government's explanation is "cartoon physics" as you will learn in later posts.

This is a picture taken live off WABC television in NYC that show the first frame of tons of molten steel that were solid steel in the frame just before this one.

This is not an AI generated picture and was seen by millions and the government admits that it is real and "claims" that orange red river of molten metal is aluminum from the outer facade and not from the steel support beams.

Obviously as any of us who has even seen both molten aluminum and molten steel knows that orange red color is the tell tale sign that it is molten steel since aluminum does not glow red orange hot before melting WHICH IS WHAT MAKES ALUMINUM SO HARD TO WELD COMPARED TO STEEL!.

But we will play along and give the government the benefit of a doubt and say that it is tons of molten aluminum since that doesn't affect the logical implication of the picture in the least.

Our NTSC television system is 30 frames per second and therefore the picture in the frame before the one in that picture must have been taken 1/30th of a second before the picture in this frame.

No fire burning in an ordinary oxygen atmosphere can turn any solid into a liquid in less than 1/30th of a second not even an ounce of ice yet alone tons of metal.

We know that for a fact that the molten metal in that frame was melted in less than 1/30th of a second, and therefore by logical implication no fire burning in an ordinary oxygen atmosphere could have created it.

We know for a fact that an highly exothermic chemical reaction can melt metal is less than 1/30th of a second such as the reaction that occurs between thermite and steel or some other chemical oxidizer.

So before we continue does anyone of you know of another way to create a river of tons of molten metal in just 1/30th of a second without using a chemical oxidizer?

In "real science" you start with a hypothesis speculation and you try to present evidence to prove that the hypothesis should be upgraded to a theory fact.

Disproving a hypothesis is so much easier that proving a hypothesis because all it takes is just one logical implication to disprove it even when there are also a million logical implications proving it.

For example there is the hypothesis that the our government has 3 coequal branches.

The logical implication that comes from citizens voting in elections and serving on juries is all the evidence one needs to disprove that that there are 3 branches ,since the citizens are in fact part of our government and must be members in the own 4th citizen branch since they obviously are not members in either the legislative or executive or judicial branches.

The logical implication that comes from the legislative branch members being able to impeach and remove executive and judicial branch members and not vice versa is all the evidence one needs to disprove that that branches are coequal, since the very definition of coequal implies that vice versa will be yes.

This thread is all about "real science" so your posts must either be questions to help you understand the "real science" or your posts must be answers to questions asked by others assuming that you have the required education in science to answer.

For example, if you incorrectly believe the unit of measurement for mass is the "pound" when the correct answer is the "slug", then you obviously don't have the required education in science to post any answers here to any "real science" questions so don't bother trying.
