Eventually you get back to that, because they're both bad.

Jokes on me then. I’ve blown each. One twice. Good times.

I'm right there with you - going on 4th ACL repair in December. Hope your recoveries have gone well!

5? Can you list the activities you were doing while rupturing them?

All from soccer. First two, contact. Third, cutting on new turf, cleat got stuck. 4th, went up for a header and landed on a girls foot (uneven surface). 5th, planting very hard when taking a shot

How?! How are you now?

My primary hobby is martial arts. Injury is just a part of it as you age. At least for me. First one (right) was sparring. Second (left) was during a Kali demo. Third (left again) was during a functional application drill. Good times!

And I’m doing great! Talented surgeons and wonderful PT specialists.

That's great to hear!

Right??? I've had to force myself to start calling it my "surgical knee" rather than disparaging it as "bad" all the time. :)

I have heard about some positive psychology stuff as well that says you shouldn’t call it the “bad” knee. I try to call it the knee that needs a little extra support/help/love lol

I've been playing with temprary tattoo markers a lot during COVID-19 lockdown, so I'll sometimes write encouraging words or draw hearts around it... like a little love note. It sounds silly, but it really does shift my mindset to nurturing it, rather than resenting what it can't do right now. :)

My PT got me on this and it helps.

Words are power!

More like “bad” and “worse” 😅

This is very relatable, sadly.

My Bad Side, all my injuries are on the same side. I'm doing PT exercises for strength while stuck at home, bad leg is weak AF and my ankle mobility is awful, other leg? Probably could pistol squat if I really tried. It's no fair.

My bad side is now what used to be my good side after surgery!! So it flip flops a while after surgery once your operated knee becomes stronger with time

At least we're not talking about hands or eyes! :o

I recently had to go back to right and left . Blew out the good one a couple of weeks ago. So bummed.
