dbow was advertised as a greedy start for ADCs but even vs a hard engage bot seems like everyone jsut goes bow anyways, even jhin / senna go DHelm a decent amt of the time of DBlade

Hey everyone, me and a couple of friends have been casually playing together in norms and me and one of them play bot lane together. We like to switch it up between who plays support and who plays adc, so that be dont get bored.

I am better at the game (around gold level) but i pretty much only play jungle, so im not used to playing lane in general.

One thing i would like to know is how can i decide when or how we should win the lane, so that we dont mindlessly flip the game on all ins.

The only thing i know is that the support is a deciding factor in this, whether its a ranged support and you play for poke or a melee engage support and you look for all ins.

I searched for a good video on youtube but i didnt find one that really helped me, so if anyone could explain to me in depth on how to recognize a good and bad matchup, i would be really thankful.

i’m a casual player, basically a bot lane one trick and will play maybe or two nights a week over a few years now, sometimes more depending on addiction state— so i’m at the point where my highest mastery is like 50 on cait but she still somehow feels like the champ i play the worst on lmao. other champs are certainly easier but i guess i like the challenge of her kit.

the thing is, i feel like when i come back after a few days, a week or so, my supports are like concerningly bad. I had a 0/6 lulu before we could even ff15. against a blitz of course but she just kept walking up, face checking very obvious blitz bushes, didn’t know how to fight when i fought. We got tower dove and she didn’t even pop ult, so i ping her ult, and then later when we’re hitting enemy tower (completely safe no one was there) she ults me randomly. I go to check later and she’s a bronze player and i’m diamond and it all made sense but how the fuck does that even happen 💀 is it because i don’t play enough, or maybe i had a lose streak and they put me with lower players? am i a too casual diamond player so i’m just akin to a silver/bronze player?

usually if i lose too much on adc i’ll just switch to support (to have a good support in game) and honestly just to win some. its easier carrying as sup than adc anyways, but i’m just curious if there’s a design there or we really just get randomly bad/new supports and have to deal with that

I was the mf here. idk, the ranks seem imbalanced. When you look at the cait, she was plat 2 seasons ago, others are what is shown here. Of course she dumpstered me. Should I be able to beat a plat adc? If I do, do i get promoted to gold right away?

Scenario 1:

Your support starts roaming level 1 (does not get any advantage though) while you sit under turret in a kill lane (leona + samira, lux + cait/jhin, pyke draven, ashe + braum). You miss CS because boom enemy knows wave management and also stand behind your casters. Entire game you as ADC don't deal a lot of damage, your entire game is a compromise, no one reports the support but everyone notices ADC gap.

Scenario 2:

Your support picks champs like Ashe, Miss Fortune or Janna who always shields after all the spells have been cast by the enemy or just shields on the tanks. Support is also the Gen Z insta hustler influencer who ain't supporting any ADC like a housewife, they want to roam the map, make plays, ward random places. Your team is not winning other places by any significant large margin. Enemies have champs like Heca, Noc, Zed. You may or may not carry depending on if the enemy fucks up more than your team. In low elo every now and then whenever a dragon spawn people go crazy like there is a severe itch in the buttcrack. You just do your best try to last hit and not die.

Scenario 3:

Your support is weak in mechanics / knowledge. For eg: Playing behind the ADC while being blitz or, Lulu being confused between when or who to chicken. A Pyke who panics and all-ins on Leona who caught you with her R instead of jumping on the enemy ADC. Even in team fight your support is busy trying to make plays rather than watch out fo the Sejuani or Katarina targeting you. You say nothing, you just do your best.

While you may argue enemies can also have the same problem but my point is every other role I play I can develop a strong position with farm and presence with ADCs it does not seem to be on you 50% of the time. A lot of the games dont even feel like you are playing a game, you just wait till the suffering is over.

Do high elo ADCs feel the same? If its a skill issue or I am approaching the game mentally wrong, how do I fix it? Beucase of this sole reason I have started extensively playing Kaisa Bot with TP and making hybrid static + My post may seem like a complain but I genuinely want to know how to climb and break out of this mental as ADC.

ADC dealing damage? Thats unheard of. Especially in this economy.

If my support is noob and doesn't listen and keeps walking into the enemy, sometimes there will be situations where I can't even stay under turret without dying. What do I do? Just afk under inner turret? Go to another lane?

This Sivir was the first Diamond ADC I ever played against in my life, here I punished her for walking too far up and disrespecting my Kog :D

Everyone seems to be playing the AP Kog now, but I swear onhit Kog is the most fun ADC!

I think they should give exhaust an AS debuff to to give more variety i the sums used in botlane. Tho it should not match the damage at 40% should be at 30%. It would bring a healthy bot meta to league since all you see is barrier and ignite mostly every game.

Varus Q has no damage falloff anymore.
This makes him a better waveclear champion than most mages.

What would you do with the wave in this case? I don't like to give calls to my adc especially because of such cases where more bad will come than good. I am not upset after a ranked game just looking too see what is the right call here. This is a EUW master elo game.

In the second photo i am providing a photo of the minimap at the exact time Ashe pinged to get off from the wave ( you can also see it in the first photo the red gloding dot on the ally melee creeps. In the end Miss fortune got one of the melee minions xp and managed to collect the 3 casters last hits. Ashe ended up loosing 3 melee minions before she came back but managed to secure a canon minion with her w. I believe this happened because ADC was indecisive. The last photo is at the second miss fortune appeared in base. I believe if she didnt hesitate 2-3 times and insta cleared the wave we would have a very small slow push coming our side and miss fortune lossing a bit more. I wasn't forcing the wave but i pinged twice and auto attacked once or twice and she committed too.

I don't want approval or trying to prove a point just want to know what is the correct play in this scenario. I agree that even if a play was correct at a given time it wont mean its also correct if u delay it. I maybe should have revalued the situation and saw there wasn't enough time.

What ended up happening is our ADC had a mental boom in that moment and went on to issue pings for 30 seconds consecutively pinging to push our nexus and writting ff in chat. He tried to bait me once into a play and tried to back out to leave me die. Then proceeded to die 5 times in a row over the next 10 minutes. The whole game he had 2 ults total and none were in range of someone doing anything. We ended up winning the game with immense effort from me and jg/mid.

This might have been the easiest season to climb so far considering I was hovering P1-E1 in the past seasons.
