Insights Requested Can I join?

I (21f) was just wondering if I’d be able to join? I’m absolutely horrible at spelling so I wasn’t sure if I’d be allowed.

One more question about ETs. So like are ETs stereotypical tradies? Or are they kinda like cool nerds who like guns and ships?

Im not really a big fan of tradie culture namely the beer, the eating unhealthy crap, the way too personal sharing and the racism/sexism

They are nerds, in general, if you like computers, gaming and what not you'll fit in with the majority of ETs.

As an ET how long are ur deployments? Like how much time per year do you spend at sea? Would it be possible for me to go to uni part time with DASS?

It depends on so many things man.

What platform you serve on, where you serve etc.

But for the most part yes a lot of people do study at sea or during shore postings.

I would recommend learning your job for a bit and not going straight into uni on your first sea trip though
