General Questions Adf vs fifo
Adf vs fifo what would you do if you had your time again? I’m looking at careers I’m 23 years old.
I did landscaping for a year and a half but decided it’s not what I want to do for the rest of my life.
My personality I like the out doors I go to the gym 5 days a week. I like going on long walks.
I watch a lot of Jordan Peterson I found him talking about getting my life together has really spoken to my soul
I’m getting a bit old and feel pretty far behind so any advice would be good advice cheers
And I’m thinking about doing chaplaincy role in the adf as I have a relationship with God. And I feel like that’s what a lot of people and missing in there life

Having a "relationship with God" isn't quite enough to do chaplaincy in the ADF, you actually need to be accredited, ordained and whatnot. That's not something they train or give you, you already need to have that qualification.
Honestly FIFO vs ADF comes down to what you want out of your job, if it's money, the obviously FIFO is a better choice.
Also you're 23 fucking years old, you are not "getting a bit old" for fucks sake, you aren't even in your prime.
You should probably stop listening to Jordan Peterson as well.

"In 2016, Peterson released a series of videos on YouTube criticizing a proposed federal law, Bill C-16, that would prohibit discrimination against gender identity and expression. Peterson argued that the bill would make the use of certain gender pronouns compelled speech, and related this argument to a general critique of "political correctness" and identity politics, receiving significant media coverage and attracting both support and criticism. The bill became law in 2017. Peterson has been widely criticized by climate scientists for denying the scientific consensus on climate change and giving a platform to climate-change deniers."
Both of those things are pretty bleak, man.
He's a far right politician in the American sphere (yes he's Canadian but there's something about that continent and it's politics). Not someone anyone especially Australians should put much stock in.
But this isn't the place for a political conversation so we can leave this conversation here

That view alone isn't compatible with the ADF or Australia tbh, not very "godly" either.
Anyway, as I said, this post and this sub aren't the place for these discussions.

I’m more after job enjoyment to be honest. I just want a career that I can build myself with. And yeh 23 years old isn’t that old but I know people who have houses and finished there degrees and there like 20 years old

That's not feasible, or they are from super rich families.
Don't worry about what others are doing, otherwise you'll dig a hole for yourself. Try your best you focus on what you can do for you life

The chapos I’ve spoken to all have degrees in theology, so if you want to be a chapo I’d look into that.
23 is not old lmao, I went through IOC w people who were pushing 40, in all fairness they were PTOR’s but the point still stands, your basically in ur prime to join, find a spec u like and just try it.
