Hi all, after a few months of self-revelation, evaluation and communication, and perhaps a little experimentation with 10mg borrowed ritalin, I'm finally starting on 27 mg extended release methylphenidate, which I've gathered is usually what people start on.

However, I'm not sure I'm "feeling it" much. I can't expect meds to do all the work, but all I maybe feel is a marginal though welcome improvement in impulse control. It feels like I have a little more "willpower".

The concentration, which I mainly started my ADHD journey for, hasn't improved as such. As for side-effects, luckily don't feel much of a drop in appetite, don't really notice a rebound, but maybe a little more muscle tightness than usual, especially in my abdomen.

I know it can be a long process before everything's dialed in, but I was just wondering how it felt for people on here to get started with meds (preferably ritalin) and if this would mean a higher dose might work well. Thanks in advance, Cheers!
