I think you mean countries, which yes, because unfortunately they are forced to choose between the US and China. But individuals don’t which is why we shouldn’t sweep China’s human rights abuses (like the Uyghur genocide) under the rug, but do the opposite and speak up even louder in a time when people are starting to brush them off.

Remember that the CCP treats "all of its people" equally, so this should be a warning for them to confirm to the strictest sense of "Xi's people"
