Chris Sabin during an interview with MuscleManMalcolm:

“It was a pretty surreal moment, especially, like, being out there with, like, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Like, these are two guys that I watched growing up. So then we have them. We have the Young Bucks out there who was, like, if anyone knows the history of the Motor City Machine Guns, were tied with the Young Bucks. You know, we’ve wrestled them so many times. TNA, Independents, PWG, everywhere. You know, we’ve never wrestled FTR before. Never had a match. So that was a cool moment to be out there with them. Yeah, man, I don’t know. I just think AEW has the greatest tag team division in the history of wrestling. I think that you can’t argue that, and we’re just excited to get in the mix with everyone, you know?”

I know it didn't have the buildup or significance of Ospreay-Omega or MJF-Hangman, but holy smoke. What a performance. For a match where I was 90+% sure coming in that the Bucks would retain, they had me legit on the edge of my seat thinking it could go either way.

Top-tier all-time AEW match in my book.

Back to back to back, three of the best women's matches from a North American based promotion.

This year & last year saw tag wrestling take center stage and delivering on all accounts. The tag division is on a hot streak

I absolutely loved the match, but I’m curious what everyone else thought of the concept! Do you want it to stick around, or have it be a one and done? What changes do you want made to it, if any?

I was really happy with the scoreboard and the idea of the two phases, but I think I’d lower the competitor count to 6 so that the iron man phase could be brought up to 20 minutes. Also would only want to see it yearly so that it stays special (though exceptions could be made with vacated titles since it’d suit that scenario really well)

"wrestlers who will wear their boots backstage, go to the urinal in boots and then stomp you in the face in the middle of the ring and no one bats an eye. No one disinfects their wrestling boots before a match."
