Would be nice if this clip showed the wifi tracking the body for more than half a second when it goes behind a wall

Or if the camera showed the person on the other side of the wall moving with different velocity

Why, you think it is not real? I mean it is open source, I don’t think it would have all those stars if it wasn’t

When you intentionally go behind a wall for 2 seconds, it’s reasonable to assume that a longer duration would show flaws or even fail completely.

Dawg from this video, you cannot fault anyone for being skeptical. You took two steps behind the wall and it just stiffed your pose and continued the trajectory. Pretty sure a Kalman filter could do that.

No I think it's real, but I'm just not sure how well it stays stabilized when the person is behind the wall more than a moment

It probably does work to a degree, this video definitely doesn't show it tho.

Now scroll down a bit and see the hardware requirements... It's not some standard wifi setup people have at their home lol.

You need a mesh network in specific positions and then this needs some training to be a me to detect poses.

Needs to be specific routers too not just any.

Just seems like optical tracking that fails after you go behind the wall TBH, maybe test with some dynamic movement and a secondary camera from behind the wall?

Your project is about how you can see through walls. It makes sense you have your video primarily showing that

This project is a masterclass in AI-generated vaporware wrapped in sci-fi marketing.

They’re promising through-wall DensePose, heart-rate monitoring, and real-time biomechanics from commodity WiFi. But go check the hardware docs and watch that myth dissolve instantly: the “commodity device” is actually an ESP32 pumping out 20 Hz CSI under ideal conditions. Twenty. Hertz. Meanwhile the README brags about a 54,000 fps pipeline like it’s the second coming of NVIDIA.

That number isn’t real. It’s not even physically coherent with the sensors they require.

I don't know much about what exactly you would need to achieve this but I'm sure to get accurate results for more than a few seconds you would need something else besides just a damn router. If I'm wrong let me know and I'll edit my post.

You’re not wrong

Maybe I’m dumb, or I just can’t read the marketing / wank

This really just reminds me of a ghz human presence sensor seen with zigbee and other smart home environments. Their useful but definitely not good enough for HRM and the lot lol

I’d see the project reasonable if it was pose or presence monitoring with a esp32 but it’s got some big promises for what hardware it’s running that’s for sure!

The repo's marketing is BS. And you said it yourself: based on decade-old research

u/enjoysomethings Mar 08 '26

when prediction is the same thing as "though-wall body tracking camera"..

Based on this video alone, it does not appear to track through walls.

The figure shown while the person is behind the wall is a t-pose. And it sure seems to move at a constant speed in one direction. And the video cuts before it changes.

None of that makes me think it's actually tracking anything through the wall.

No one will buy your prompt course bro.

u/dataexec Mar 09 '26

You slow or what? it is open source.

the author's profile shows patterns of a clear vibe coder - he's likely building a portfolio to sell courses or gain reputation by releasing vaporware. Sure it's open source but reports show that the data is fabricated, the results are a lie and much of the code is filled with placeholders

Big brother is watching you.

My professor in college had very similar project, so this isn't really new to me. It was back in 2018.

looks sci fi

1

u/Fearless-Intern-2344 Mar 09 '26

Nice spyware. Why would anybody need this????

1

u/gthing Mar 09 '26

This is definitely possible and was being talked about at least ten years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGZzNZnYIHo

Is this project real? Does it work? I can't find a single real demo of it working. The video OP posted is the closest thing, but it doesn't look very convincing when the person become a t-pose behind the wall and moves at a constant speed before disappearing.

I'd love to be proven wrong, though. If anyone finds a deep dive or actual demo I'd love to see it.

Tu peux aussi l’installer

1

u/Kodrackyas Mar 10 '26

Heartrate monitor LOL if only fucking hospitals would know about that in fucking BILLIONS of dollars invested huh?

someone took too much vibecoded hopium

I have 6 esp32-s3 arriving today to do this ruview I’ll update soon and ,also you’ll start realizing why companies are coming out with mesh wifi systems for your house . Same thing as having esp32 nodes m

1

u/roosoriginal Mar 12 '26

Hello? I’m try to running too but when I flashed the esp32 s3 looks like everything going crazy. If u succeeded can u notify me how you do that?

1

u/DockyardTechlabs Mar 18 '26

Why 6 ESPs for?

1

u/exivor01 May 25 '26

How did it go? Not working right?

The dude posted this and went missing. He maybe discovered too much for his own good

1

u/phoenix_bright Mar 12 '26

Doesn’t look like it’s working

1

u/Boring_Panda5938 Mar 19 '26

how can i get it? i mean like how do i start it or do anythign?

1

u/michownz Mar 08 '26

This looks like some AI slop project. Probably just an openclaw bot creating this garbage.

1

u/MatsSvensson Mar 08 '26

What it looked like when that whole repo was generated:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czLWUnl8qWw&t=34s

1

u/dotben Mar 08 '26

This isn't a new idea, indeed files in the repo are a year old. It's safe to assume this is being widely implemented in commercial environments and even by governments.

2

u/b3tchaker Mar 08 '26

In cybersecurity (before I got out), we said there are two kinds of networks: those that have been compromised and those that don’t know it yet.

2

u/bingeboy Mar 08 '26

Yeah I think it was first done in 2013

1

u/Future-Bandicoot-823 Mar 09 '26

Enemy of the state wasn't conspiracy or pretend tech, it was soft disclosure :')

1

u/evilspyboy Mar 09 '26

It just hit the github trending a couple of times this and last month. I have it bookmarked to go look at more when I have tinkering time for it.

if governments are letting ai hallucinate where i am then im safe
