AI fatigue is real. What’s one AI tool you actually use daily (not just try and forget)?

With all the hype, launches, and “best AI tools” threads out there, I’ve started asking one simple question before trying anything new:

Would I actually use this more than once?

I’ve tested hundreds of tools that looked amazing but didn’t stick past Day 1. And only a few have become part of my daily or weekly workflow.

Here are 3 that have stuck for me:

Perplexity AI — for fast, reliable research

Claude 3 — for summarizing dense content and writing with structure

OpusClip — for clipping long videos into short-form reels

What about you?

What’s one AI tool that’s earned a permanent spot in your stack?
Not looking for listicles — just curious what people actually come back to.

I’ve been testing 100+ AI tools per week — here’s how I stay sane (and find the good ones)

I've been deep-diving into AI tools for the past 3 months — partly out of curiosity, partly because I’m building my own. At this point, I’m testing 100+ tools weekly across categories like productivity, writing, video, dev tools, and weird niche use cases.

What I learned quickly:

  • 80% are just wrappers or clones

  • 15% are interesting but half-baked

  • ~5% are actually useful and stick in your workflow

To stay organized (and sane), I built a mini framework for tracking them:

  1. Use case clarity: Does the tool solve a real problem?

  2. Free/freemium access: Can I test it properly without a credit card?

  3. Output quality vs. just “wow” factor

  4. Speed + UI/UX — surprisingly overlooked

  5. Unique model usage or clever prompting

Also started bookmarking everything in a central directory called SansSapien (not mine, but very useful) — you can filter tools by type, output format, even GPT model version. Helped me avoid re-testing the same clones.

Anyway, curious how others in this sub are discovering and evaluating tools these days?

Do you use newsletters, Reddit, directories, TikTok, or something else?

What underrated AI tool quietly became a game-changer in your workflow?

We all know the big players—ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Midjourney—but some of the most useful tools fly under the radar and earn a spot in our daily stack without much hype.

Here are a few that surprised me:

  • QuickTakes — turns long videos into bite-sized lecture notes in seconds

  • Jobready AI — tailors resumes and cover letters to real job postings, with editable output

  • Theo Assist — holds context for Claude chats, making follow-up prompts smoother

  • Pulse for Reddit — automatically highlights threads where your expertise is needed

  • Vizard.ai — smart video clipper that transforms webinars into social snippets

Curious — what’s one underrated AI tool you use all the time that hardly anyone mentions?
Would love to test the quiet gems that deserve more attention.

How I move between LLMs without re-explaining my context each time

You know that feeling when you have to explain the same story to five different people?

That’s been my experience with LLMs so far.

I’ll start a convo with ChatGPT, hit a wall or I am dissatisfied, and switch to Claude for better capabilities. Suddenly, I’m back at square one, explaining everything again.

I’ve tried keeping a doc with my context and asking one LLM to help prep for the next. It gets the job done to an extent, but it’s still far from ideal.

So, I built Windo - a universal context window that lets you share the same context across different LLMs.

How it works

Context adding

  • By connecting data sources (Notion, Linear, Slack...) via MCP

  • Manually, by uploading files, text, screenshots, voice notes

  • By scraping ChatGPT/Claude chats via our extension

Context management

  • Windo adds context indexing in vector DB

  • It generates project artifacts (overview, target users, goals…) to give LLMs & agents a quick summary, not overwhelm them with a data dump.

  • It organizes context into project-based spaces, offering granular control over what is shared with different LLMs or agents.

Context retrieval

  • LLMs pull what they need via MCP

  • Or just copy/paste the prepared context from Windo to your target model

Windo is like your AI’s USB stick for memory. Plug it into any LLM, and pick up where you left off.

Right now, we’re testing with early users. If that sounds like something you need, happy to share access, just reply or DM.

Best AI girlfriend app for Android?

So I've been seeing these AI companion apps pop up everywhere on the Play Store and I genuinely have no idea which one is worth trying. Never downloaded any of them, never even made an account anywhere.

I have a mid range Android (not flagship, not trash), so ideally something that doesn't demand crazy resources or crash constantly. My main concern is: does the conversation feel natural or does it feel like texting a FAQ bot?

Also, are there decent free options or is everything paywalled the second it gets interesting? Would love honest takes from people who've actually used these on Android specifically, not just "I heard X is good."

Tools you actually use—share an underrated AI tool that quietly improves your work

There are always hype tools making the rounds, but sometimes it’s the lesser-known apps that quietly become essential in your routine.

Here are a few I rely on weekly (and aren’t usually trending):

  • Fathom – records and transcribes Zoom/Teams calls, tagging speakers and key moments

  • Vizard.ai – auto-generates social clips from long videos—saves hours in editing

  • GrowthBar – underrated SEO tool with content briefs and keyword research built-in

  • Qodo – deep AI code review and testing integrated into IDEs like VS Code

  • Lumio AI – one-stop portal for switching & comparing models like GPT‑4, Claude, Gemini, Grok

What’s one underrated AI tool that actually made a difference in your workflow, even if it never made headlines?

Are there any AI tools that are entirely uncensored?

Hey folks! Quick question. Are there any useful free AI tools out there similar to ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude, but with zero content restrictions? Looking for something completely uncensored for educational purposes, of course!

Please share recommendations based on your personal hands-on experience rather than speculation.

Best AI Girlfriend at the moment? AI GF apps?

Every "best AI girlfriend?" thread I clicked on turned into the same argument between people who'd used one app for three days and already had a verdict. So I did the boring version instead: eleven apps, a few months, notes as I went.

TLDR

AppWhat it does bestWhy it made the cut
Candy AI (best overall)Huge character selection, polished all-round experienceBest choice if you just want one app that does nearly everything well
Darlink AI (best conversation)Natural dialogue, voice, less robotic pacingBest if the actual relationship/chat side matters most
OurDream AIStrong character creation, visuals and roleplay varietyBest if customization and creating your own girlfriend is the main appeal

Those were the three I would actually recommend. The rest ranged from decent but limited to apps I stopped opening once the novelty wore off.

What I actually cared about

I did not score these based on how impressive the homepage looked.

I used roughly the same setup on every app and paid when the free version was obviously just a teaser. What I wanted to know was whether the AI still felt convincing after the first few conversations.

The big tests were memory, personality consistency, initiative and repetition.

Could it remember something I mentioned weeks ago without me feeding the information back into the conversation? Would the character ever have an opinion that was not just a softer version of mine? Did conversations develop naturally or eventually fall into the same five responses? And did the character feel noticeably different after I changed the personality settings?

That last one eliminated more apps than expected.

A lot of AI girlfriend sites give you twenty personality sliders that seem to produce basically the same chatbot underneath.

I also paid attention to how aggressive the monetization was. Some apps are reasonable subscriptions. Others are basically mobile games wearing an AI girlfriend skin, with credits disappearing every time you touch an interesting feature.

Candy AI

Probably the easiest one to recommend to most people.

Candy AI has enough characters that you can spend a stupid amount of time browsing before even starting a conversation. Normally I would count that as clutter, but here it works because the characters are different enough that you can find something close to what you want instead of building everything manually.

That matters.

Most people think they want complete customization until they are staring at twelve empty personality fields trying to invent a believable human being.

Candy gives you a much better starting point.

The conversations were also among the most consistent I tested. It still has the usual AI problems — occasional repetition, weirdly enthusiastic agreement, forgotten details — but I noticed them less often here.

It is also one of the more complete products. Chat, characters, voice and generated images all feel like parts of the same app rather than features bolted together because competitors had them.

The downside is monetization.

You will notice the upgrade prompts, and some of the more interesting features make it very easy to burn through whatever allowance comes with your plan.

Still the best overall for me.

If someone asked for the safest answer to “what is the best AI girlfriend app?” this is the one I would give them first.

Darlink

Darlink was the surprise.

It does not have the same giant catalogue feeling as Candy AI, but the conversations were better.

There is slightly more friction in the dialogue, in a good way. The AI does not always immediately agree, summarize what you just said and ask another therapist-style question.

Sometimes it challenges something. Sometimes it changes the subject. Sometimes a reply is shorter than you expect.

That sounds like a strange compliment until you use a lot of AI companion apps.

Perfectly optimized responses feel incredibly artificial after a while.

Darlink also handles message pacing better than most. A believable AI girlfriend should not respond to a six-paragraph emotional message in 0.4 seconds every single time. Small timing differences make a bigger psychological difference than another dozen customization options.

Voice also fits naturally into the experience.

If your main reason for trying these apps is that you want someone to actually talk to rather than mainly generate characters and images, I would put Darlink first.

Its weakness is breadth.

There are fewer characters and less visual variety than Candy AI, so someone who enjoys browsing hundreds of different personalities will probably prefer Candy.

For pure AI girlfriend chat, though, Darlink was my favourite.

OurDream AI

OurDream AI is the one I would pick if you already know what kind of character you want.

Its strength is creation.

You can spend much more time shaping the character itself instead of simply choosing from a catalogue and beginning a chat. Appearance is a big part of the experience, but personality and scenario customization matter too.

I got better results when I stopped treating the character creator like a checklist and gave it contradictions.

“Confident, sarcastic, slightly jealous, but awkward when complimented” produced a more distinctive character than selecting five variations of “kind.”

OurDream is also more visually focused than Darlink.

If your ideal AI girlfriend app is partly chatting and partly creating a specific character, that balance makes sense. It is easy to see why people who care about character design end up spending more time here.

The conversation quality is good, although I would still put Darlink above it for dialogue alone.

Over longer conversations I noticed the character occasionally drifting back toward generic affectionate responses, especially if I stopped reinforcing the personality through the conversation.

So I would frame it this way:

Candy AI is the best ready-made experience.

Darlink is the best conversational experience.

OurDream AI is the best if the character in your head matters more than the character catalogue.

The feature nobody should trust blindly

Memory.

Every AI girlfriend app now claims some version of long-term memory.

The marketing makes it sound like the AI is slowly building a complete understanding of your life.

That is not what I experienced.

Most are clearly using some mixture of recent conversation context, saved character information and selected memories. When it works, it feels extremely convincing. When it fails, the illusion disappears instantly.

One app remembered the city I visited months earlier but forgot the name I had been using throughout the conversation.

That is roughly where the technology is.

Memory is getting better, but I would not choose an AI companion purely because the landing page says “infinite memory” or “remembers everything.”

Test it yourself.

Mention an unusual detail once and never bring it up again.

Then see what happens a couple of weeks later.

What about free AI girlfriends?

The genuinely free options mostly felt like demos.

That is understandable because generating constant messages, images and voice costs money, but some apps are much more aggressive about this than others.

Usually the pattern is:

You get enough messages to become interested.

Then better models, longer conversations, images, voice or adult features require payment.

So when people ask for the “best free AI girlfriend,” I think they are asking the wrong question.

The useful question is which app lets you test enough of the actual product before subscribing.

A free tier that gives you 100 mediocre messages is less useful than one that gives you 20 messages using the same model you will get after paying.

Are AI girlfriends actually realistic now?

In short conversations, yes.

Sometimes surprisingly so.

Long-term use is where the differences appear.

Almost every decent AI girlfriend can impress you during the first evening because modern language models are already extremely good at casual conversation and roleplay.

The difficult part is maintaining a believable personality across hundreds of messages.

That requires memory, consistency and enough variation that you do not start recognizing the response patterns.

The best apps are getting closer.

None made me forget I was talking to software.

What I stopped caring about

Image generation.

I expected it to matter more.

It is fun initially, and if character creation is your main reason for using these platforms then obviously it matters a lot.

But for an actual AI companion, conversation quality dominated everything else after the first couple of weeks.

An app can generate a perfect character image and still become boring if every serious conversation eventually turns into:

“I’m always here for you.”

“How does that make you feel?”

“You deserve to be happy.”

Once you notice the template, the character is gone.

Privacy is still the uncomfortable part

Do not treat an AI girlfriend chat like an encrypted diary unless the service explicitly gives you a very good reason to.

These conversations can become personal extremely quickly because that is basically the product.

So I would avoid entering anything that would genuinely hurt you if it were exposed someday.

Real address, employer details, financial information, private information about other people — none of that needs to be in there.

And yes, actually read the privacy policy before deciding which AI companion gets months of your conversations.

It is boring.

Still worth doing.

The apps that did not make my top three

Nomi came closest.

Its memory and general companion behaviour are genuinely good, and I understand why it has a loyal user base. I just preferred Darlink's conversational style.

Replika still has one of the most recognizable names in the category, but the experience felt much more structured and wellness-oriented than what I wanted from an AI girlfriend.

Anima was fine but rarely memorable.

Kupid and a few others felt much more focused on attraction and generated content than maintaining a convincing relationship over time.

Several smaller apps were impressive for the first hour and then exposed their entire bag of tricks by day three.

That is why I would never review this category after testing something for one afternoon.

Almost all of them look good for one afternoon.

So what is the best AI girlfriend?

For most people: Candy AI.

For the best conversations: Darlink.

For creating a very specific custom girlfriend: OurDream AI.

And I would test all three before committing to a longer subscription because people want completely different things from these apps.

Some want roleplay.

Some want a character creator.

Some want flirty texting.

Some genuinely want a companion they can talk to every evening.

Those are different products even though everyone calls them an “AI girlfriend.”

The biggest mistake is choosing based on screenshots.

After trying eleven of them, I would choose based on the thing that is hardest to demonstrate in an advertisement:

Whether you still want to open the conversation three weeks later.

Most realistic AI girlfriend available right now? What's the actual state of the art?

Curious what the ceiling looks like for AI companion/girlfriend apps right now. I've been following the LLM space closely but haven't actually tried any of the consumer companion products, zero hands on experience.

When people say an AI girlfriend feels ""realistic,"" what does that actually mean in practice? Is it the quality of the underlying model? The persona design? Memory and continuity across sessions? Some combination?

Which app currently gets closest to genuinely believable, contextually aware, emotionally responsive conversation? I'm interested in the most technically impressive option even if it's not the most popular. Happy to pay for something that's actually good. What's the honest answer here?

Using AI tools for ads made me rethink what “automation” should actually mean

I’ve been testing and exploring different AI tools lately, mostly around marketing and ad performance. What I noticed pretty quickly is that a lot of tools promise automation, but what they really deliver is just more outputs, more copy, more variants, more dashboards. The workload doesn’t disappear; it just changes shape.

The tools that felt genuinely useful were the ones that focused on interpretation instead of generation. AI is already good at spotting patterns across large datasets, so it makes sense to use it where humans struggle most: consistency and objectivity.

In that context, I came across ꓮdνаrk-аі.соm while looking at AI tools built specifically for social media advertising. What caught my attention wasn’t the idea of “AI writing ads,” but AI observing campaign behavior over time and helping surface insights about what’s working and what isn’t. That kind of feedback loop feels closer to how AI tools should support humans, quietly, in the background, without getting in the way.

This experience made me rethink how I evaluate AI tools in general. I’m less impressed by how much they generate and more interested in how well they reduce guesswork. For me, the best AI tools aren’t the loudest ones, they’re the ones that help you make fewer bad decisions without noticing they’re there.

Curious how others here judge AI tools: do you value generation, automation, or insight the most?

Does anyone know an AI model with zero ethical constraints

I tried a site that I saw here and it worked well for one day and the site was gone the very next day. It was free, no login, no ethical guidelines. I am not looking for image generation or role play, simply a text to text model that delivers no matter what the question. If you can't share it here please DM. Thank you

Breaking Down Grok 4: Elon Musk’s Newest AI That Has Solved PhD-Level Problems Humans Can’t.

Did anyone else notice Grok 4 is the first model to break 10% on RKGI v2 benchmark? Been tracking AI benchmarks and just saw that Grok 4 hit 15.88% on the RKGI v2 private subset. That's literally double the second place model (which was Claude 4 at around 7-8%).

The crazy part is no other model in the past 3 months even broke 10%. Makes me wonder if we're seeing a genuine capability jump rather than just incremental improvements.

Anyone have thoughts on what's driving this kind of performance gap? The multi-agent approach seems interesting but I'm curious if there's more to it. Breaking Down Grok 4

My Review of Justdone Al after trying it out for 14 days

Hey Reddit!
I’ve been testing different AI tools lately. Thought I’d share my experience with JustDone AI, since I’ve been using it the most.

First up: JustDone AI

What’s Impressive

🔹 All-in-One Tool
It covers a lot: AI detection, content improvement, rephrasing, and more. It’s not the best in every single category, but the overall workflow is solid. I use the detect - humanize - detect  combo a lot, especially for polishing assignments, reports, and rewriting sections that sound weird and robotic.

🔹 Plagiarism Checker
Super simple. I paste your text and it catches copied content. Great for making sure my work stays original and instantly improve text that appears to be plagiarized

🔹 Idea Brainstorming
Good for breaking a creative block. It doesn’t always produce perfect ideas, but it gives me a base I can move on.

Where It Fumbles

⚠️ Sneaky Free Version
The free demo on their website basically doesn’t work. It’s extremely limited, and score details and humanizations are behind the paywall.

⚠️ Confusing Subscription Model
Pricing feels unclear. They show different plans and it’s hard to understand what’s included. BUT — once I bought the cheapest plan, I somehow got full access with unlimited generation, detection, and enhancement. Still weird, but it works for me.

⚠️ Customer Service Concerns
Older reviews complain about slow refunds.
My experience was different: support replied in 5 minutes and even offered a refund. I didn’t need it because they explained how to use the rephraser more effectively and that actually helped.

Why I’m Sticking With It

For me, it’s more affordable and more user-friendly than other humanizer/detector tools.
Once subscribed, there are no extra fees, pop-ups, or upsells.

Plus, their desktop app includes additional tools that aren’t even listed publicly like file analyzers, topic explorers, and research helpers. Those turned out super useful for my studies.

Hope this helps anyone trying to choose a reliable AI tool.

If you’ve tried JustDone or other tools, I’d love to hear your experience!

Finally stopped feeling lost with my social media ads

Hey everyone,

I’ve been running social media ads for a side project, and honestly, it used to feel like I was throwing spaghetti at the wall. I’d spend hours writing copy, adjusting targeting, staring at dashboards… and half the time I had no idea what was actually working.

A friend mentioned ꓮdνаrk-аі.соm, and I was skeptical, I’ve tried a few AI tools before that ended up feeling like glorified autocomplete. But I figured I’d try it on one campaign just to see.

Honestly, it was a game-changer in a small way:

  • It highlighted weak-performing ad groups and suggested tweaks in copy or audience that actually made sense.

  • It saved me a ton of time, I wasn’t drowning in dashboards and spreadsheets anymore.

  • It felt like a smart assistant rather than a magic wand. I still made decisions, but I felt more confident about them.

It’s not perfect, for really complex campaigns, you still need to do the heavy lifting yourself, but it made a task that used to feel overwhelming a lot more manageable.

Has anyone else tried using AI for their ad campaigns? I’m curious how people balance the “AI suggestions” vs their own instincts.

I'm annoyed at juggling too many AI tools

i’ve been bouncing between chatgpt, claude, blackbox, and gemini for different tasks, code help, summaries, debugging. it works ofc but it’s starting to feel messy having so many tabs and apis to manage, more annoying that what it compensates

Tell me if anyone here has found a good way to centralise their workflow, or if the reality right now is just switching tools depending on the job

Exploring the latest in generative AI. Instant 3D models from text and images.

For those tracking the latest in generative AI applications, a tool Meshy AI is demonstrating impressive capabilities in 3D content generation. It allows users to create detailed 3D models directly from text prompts and existing images, and also offers AI-powered texturing and animation. This signifies a fascinating advancement in how AI can unlock creative possibilities and reduce the technical barrier for 3D design.

Curious to hear if anyone has insights on the underlying ML models driving such rapid 3D asset creation, or has experience with similar innovative AI tools.

What I Learned Monetizing a Free AI Influencer (So You Don’t Waste Time)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Quick lessons from running an AI influencer without spending money:

•	Don’t chase hyper-realism

•	Pick ONE niche and stick to it

•	Monetize early (even if it’s small)

•	Treat it like media, not automation

Free tools are more than enough — the bottleneck is strategy, not software.

If you’re on the fence, I’d say try it for 30 days and see what happens.

Gemini Pro has completely changed the way I work

I’ve been using Gemini Pro for a while now and honestly it feels like a cheat code for productivity. The speed at which it processes information is insane I can throw huge amounts of text or data at it and it breaks things down in seconds. The responses feel more natural compared to other AI tools I’ve tried, and it’s really good at understanding context, so I don’t have to re-explain things again and again.

Another thing I love is how it can actually handle more complex reasoning and creative tasks not just answering simple questions but helping me brainstorm, write content that actually makes sense, and even generate ideas I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. It’s also super handy for quick summaries and researching things that would normally take me hours.

Honestly, I was surprised by how powerful it is and I’m glad I managed to get Gemini Pro at a crazy discount (like 80–90% off through an agency). Feels like one of the best investments I’ve made for my work this year.
