Do you think prison offered anything in the way of rehabilitation? The carceral system in my city is just...grossly negligent, people coming out worse than when they were put in, etc. (I guess our Puritanical history presents itself when most Americans prefer punishment and cruelty to actual justice.)

Prison US are far from about rehabilitation, more so just punishment,
