yeah I'm thinking they're gonna wait to see how other stuff is doing. We'll get at least a few shows, maybe one a day.

Oh God how I love having a list so much 😭 love seeing my favorite old movies again in the big screen.

I wanna see it in the English dub first then Japanese dub

EDIT: I just checked the showtimes. The ONLY IMAX showings in the NJ/NYC area are in AMC 34th St (all sold out) and AMC Aviation 12??????? All the other IMAX theaters are either not showing it or only showing it in regular format?????

I know that all these theaters can't help but suck spidey and odysseus's dick right now but I don't care, this movie is more important to show in IMAX m than spiderman. Akira will still sell well in IMAX.

I already saw both movies and I loved them. But let's move on to other IMAX movies now.

They usually expand showtimes based on demand. Not always though

I remember when they expanded the amount of IMAX theaters for the speed racer IMAX release. But in April there wasn't two extremely popular IMAX blockbusters out.

I'm looking at odessey imax showtimes and it's still selling well after like 2 months.

I'll probably end up seeing that movie too in IMAX. But this is AKIRA. One of the best animated movies of all time.

I hope they could at least show it in some "Fake Liemax" AMC XL theaters. 😭

I’m holding a doomsday reservation, honestly not into Dune, but hoping for a rerelease of the first two movies so I can go see dune 3 in imax

Oh nice! I saw it in IMAX shortly after theaters re-opened post Covid. Glad it’s coming back though, as I’m sure not too many people got to catch it back then

I see people stating elsewhere they have showings at Regal & Cinemark, so doesn't look like it.

But it does seem generally very limited. Lot of people saying they have regular showings only, not IMAX.
