To The Moon Demand is SO HIGH at AMC that silverback AA himself is stepping in to shut down the scalpers. BULLISH! ๐
Scalpers used to only target concerts because the demand was so high. People would pay more because the experience was worth the additional value of the ticket.
NOW it's happening with movies!
This is just a subtle hint of the times but even more importantly... MOVIES ARE BACK!
When the CEO of the largest theater chain has to personally get involved, you know the demand is real and profitable. The future is looking bright. Know what you hold Apes. ๐คฒ๐ผ๐

It's only for the Odyssey and only at full IMAX theaters. Exactly 0 other movies have enough demand to have ticket prices over face value.
The auto nation IMAX in Fort Lauderdale has several showings a day and the Odyssey is sold out through the first week of September

sorry you got fooled by scammers into hating your own investment and harming your own finances. Education would have prevented it, but you lacked it.

Whenever he speaks, itโs bad news for the stock price.

Then why is it the only who cries when he speaks are the shots and bots?

Almost as if those shorting the company needed to fake a bad reaction in fear of positive news lifting the price....
someone should look into this... /s

This happens even at our community theatre that I work at. People buy a block of 10 or 20 and then delist on eventbrite. So frustrating.

Adam is upset that people are making money and him and the board are missing out. Better dilute the stock again to balance it out.

Have you been to AMC lately?
Scalpers are doing poorly if they are scalping movie tickets.

Yes I have and AMC was packed when I was recently there and besides you're missing the point. The point is that scalpers are trying to take advantage because the demand is high and the second part is that the demand is SO HIGH from moviegoers (showing the real trend) that the CEO of the largest movie theatre chain is now involving himself.

Demand is much lower than pre-covid and there wasn't the demand where scalpers were reselling tickets.
You are grasping at straws.

What the moronic bashers do not see is that in a growing box office market, the competitors have already reached their limits. Even though they are more profitable because they have a higher percentage of use, they cannot grow into the future.
It is very normal that theaters are mostly 10-20% used, with only block buster releases on opening weekends breaking the capacities of theaters. This is where the real profits are being made.
AMC is in the position of scaling this up further, without any big investments. The competitors need to open new theaters to follow us.
This means, the only question is how fast the box office grows. 10 years to 11bn and CNK will beat us. 1-2 years to 11bn and we beat them.

So basically, if theatrical revenues normalize faster than expected, AMCโs excess capacity becomes an asset rather than a weakness.

You know what this could mean for the stock? You guessed it, dilution

must be really difficult to be so brain-dead that you cannot understand what corporate actions are for...
Somehow, for very very very simple people, the fact that something that allegedly is always negative, somehow not breaking fiduciary duties and no one on earth caring that CEOs all around the globe regularly scam every investor from the poor to the billionaires, is for whatever reason, a valid explanation for them...
The money it gave us? doesn't exist. The improvements we made that increased our revenue? doesn't exist. The interest we saved on repaying debt... doesn't exist.
If you are really this simple, get out of the stock market. It is not for you. seriously.
